The Pretty Reckless is making their way to Calgary for a live show at the Grey Eagle. Fronted by Taylor Momsen, who many people may recognize from her role as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, the band has built a name for itself with its hard rock sound. The group will be joined by Paris Jackson, a singer-songwriter and daughter of Michael Jackson.

Head to Spruce Meadows this week for the August Classic, where you can catch local and amateur riders compete in an outdoor show jumping tournament. The competition will take place across the venue’s grass rings with riders taking on courses that test their speed and precision.

Grab some snacks, hop in the car and head over to WinSport for a throwback night featuring a screening of Cool Runnings. The iconic film was inspired by the story of Jamaica’s first bobsled team and their connection to the 1988 Winter Olympics that was hosted right here in Calgary.

Western Canada’s largest Latin American festival is back in Calgary for its 30th anniversary. Expo Latino will take over Prince’s Island Park with a weekend full of music, cultural showcases, food vendors and activities that highlight the diversity of Latin America.

Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to celebrate Caribbean culture at Carifest in Calgary. The annual festival brings the sights, sounds and flavours of the city with live music, dance performances, and a parade.
