6 of Toronto’s best private dining rooms for your next celebration, Canada Reviews

7 October 20263 Mins Read

From skyline views and historic mansions to chic French dining rooms, these Toronto spaces set the scene for memorable gatherings.

A great private dining room can shape an entire celebration. Whether you’re planning a birthday, engagement party, holiday gathering or team toast, Oliver & Bonacini has options across Toronto for almost every mood and guest list. Here are six standout spaces to consider.

1. The Red Room at Biff’s Bistro

For a celebration with old-school French flair, Biff’s Red Room brings plenty of personality. Dramatic red walls and soaring 18-foot ceilings create an intimate-but-lively backdrop for up to 34 seated guests or 40 for cocktails. Smaller groups can opt for the semi-private Observatory or Lounge.

Canoe

2. East & West Rooms at Canoe

If the view is part of the occasion, it’s hard to beat Canoe. Its East and West private dining rooms host 30 and 24 seated guests respectively, or combine for up to 54. With contemporary Canadian cooking and sweeping skyline views, it’s a natural fit for milestone dinners, anniversaries and elevated celebrations.

3. The Rose Room at Maison Selby

Maison Selby’s historic mansion offers no shortage of character. The feminine Rose Room can be paired with light-filled L’Orangerie for up to 32 seated guests, while the jewel-toned Parlour offers a moodier alternative. To keep the night going, head downstairs to Sous Sol, the mansion’s hidden speakeasy-style cocktail bar.

4. The North Room at Jump

In the Financial District, Jump’s North Room balances polished style with lively energy, seating 50 or hosting 65 reception-style. A smaller South Room is also available, while weekend restaurant buyouts can accommodate up to 124 seated guests or 200 for cocktails — ideal for bigger downtown celebrations.

la plume

5. The Burgundy Room at La Plume

La Plume brings a little Côte d’Azur energy to The Well. Its private Burgundy Room seats up to 42 guests and pairs Southern French-inspired cuisine with bright, stylish interiors. For smaller gatherings, the semi-private Provence Room seats 24, making it an easy choice for showers, birthdays and celebratory dinners.

Chesil at the Dorset

6. The Chesil at The Dorset

Upstairs at The Dorset, The Chesil offers room for 52 seated guests or 80 for a reception. Guests can also take over the entire second floor, which can host up to 120 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows and Juliet balconies fill the space with natural light, while contemporary British cooking and warm hospitality provide a polished backdrop for celebrations large and small.

Planning a holiday party? Book by Oct. 31, 2026 at participating venues to unlock festive perks, including welcome cocktails and a $100 O&B gift card for your company raffle. Contact [email protected] to start planning.
