23 July 20263 Mins Read

The weekend ahead in Toronto promises stunning weather (a welcome change from the past few weeks), so revolve your plans around enjoying it! From Finn Wolfhard to an Ossington street festival and free music fest, these are the best things to do in Toronto this weekend.

Beaches Jazz Fest

Beaches Jazz Fest is finishing off their month-long festival with a bang: two separate festivals all in one weekend! Streetfest takes over Queen Street East from Thursday to Saturday with food trucks, vendors and street performers, while OLG Weekend takes over Woodbine Park from Friday to Sunday with live music.

Finn Wolfhard at The Opera House

Just days after releasing his new solo album, Fire from the Hip, Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard is on the road for his The Common Side Effects tour — and he’s coming to Toronto on Friday, meaning fans here will be some of the first to hear his new album live!

Panamerican Food & Music Festival

Nathan Phillips Square will be taken over by Toronto’s biggest pan-American festival this weekend! The Panamerican Food & Music Festival will feature dance contests, salsa shows, live DJs, free dance lessons, a chocolate demo and plenty of incredible food.

Want to attend a music festival but aren’t ready to shell out the cash? Head to Trillium Park this weekend for Mixto Festival, a free, family-friendly outdoor music fest. Artists include Scientist, Naomi Cowan and Gabriel Da Muda, and there will also be DJs spinning tunes all weekend.

Shrek Rave

Paint yourself green, don your best Donkey cosplay or just come ready to party: Shrek Rave is back in Toronto this Friday! Unleash your inner ogre and enjoy a night of raving, themed music, and letting go.

AlohaFest Toronto

Toronto’s first and only celebration of Polynesian culture is coming to Mel Lastman Square on Saturday! Enjoy a hula and dance, music and mele, island eats like kalua pork, poke bowls and shave ice and plenty of crafts and makers.

Tame Impala at Scotiabank Arena

Tame Impala have just kicked off their Deadbeat Tour, and they’ll be heading to Toronto for two shows this Saturday and Sunday. The band promises a career-spanning setlist and opening support by Djo (Stranger Things actor Joe Keery).

OssFest

Head to one of Toronto’s coolest streets this weekend for OssFest, a street festival and day all-day party highlighting all the best that Ossington has to offer. Enjoy extended patios, an open air market and live performances at two different stages.

Toronto Chinatown Festival

This weekend, Toronto’s Chinatown will be hosting a massive festival to celebrate the neighbourhood! There will be a Next Superstar Singing Concert, mural walking tour, multicultural performances, lion dances and plenty of international street food.
