After a year of streaming on Netflix, a flood of regions will be saying goodbye to Halo on Netflix at the end of February 2026. This is your last call to watch Paramount’s Halo on Netflix before leaving international regions.
Halo is an American sci-fi action series created by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, adapting the beloved video game franchise of the same name from Bungie and 343 Industries. The series was produced by Amblin Television and 343 Industries, with Steven Spielberg serving as an executive producer, among many others. The series was released as an exclusive on Paramount+, but was cancelled after two seasons.
The series is set in the 26th century, where humanity is engaged in a deadly conflict with the alien species known as the Covenant. One of humanity’s heroes, Master Chief John-117, a super soldier, leads his team of Spartans against the alien threat.
When is Halo leaving Netflix?

Is Halo leaving Netflix US?
No! Both seasons of Halo were only just added to the US library in October 2025.
Assuming Netflix has a one-year license in the US, the same as the international regions, then subscribers will have at least until October 2026 to watch the series.
Will Netflix ever license Halo again?
As with every series Netflix licenses, there’s always a chance it will be relicensed. However, compared to previous years, when Netflix was happy to license titles for long periods, the strategy has changed: the streaming service now prefers shorter licenses and aims to get the most out of a title in the first 6-12 months.
Halo had a modest performance in 2025, but it is hardly breaking any records. Across the numerous countries Halo has been licensed to, including the US, you would have expected significantly more views for a series based on the beloved Halo franchise.
