Sweethearts and Zales Turn Candy Hearts Into Collectible Diamond Charms

Zales just launched the most nostalgic charm inspired by Sweethearts Conversation Hearts, and based on social media reactions, we expect this one will sell out quickly.

As the countdown to Valentine’s Day enters its final stages, the jewelry retailer is giving fans one more last-minute option that really shows just how much they care about their longtime partner, bestie, or whoever else earns the title of Valentine this year, with a special, sparkly nod to one of the most iconic seasonal treats out there.

It all started earlier this week, when Zales teased the crossover in a social media post that hinted “something sweet” would be coming just in time for Valentine’s Day. Now that the collab has been revealed, fans are left saying the same thing: “I’m adding this to my cart immediately.”

According to Wednesday’s press release, the collection of charms inspired by one of the most popular Valentine’s Day candies of our time is crafted in 10K yellow gold, and each charm features a lab-grown diamond–framed faded heart silhouette, accented with 1/10 carat total weight of lab-grown diamonds (F color, VS2 clarity).

The limited-edition capsule includes three engraved heart charms inspired by classic Sweethearts sayings, including “ooh lala,” “amore,” and “xoxo.” The charms also feature a hinged clasp bail, allowing them to be easily styled on necklaces, bracelets, or layered looks, making them versatile and personal.

Each charm is presented in a mystery blind box, to add an “element of surprise to gifting (or self-gifting),” with customers only discovering which message they receive upon opening.

“Growing up, Sweethearts were little affirmations you loved to give and hoped to get,” says Amanda Rather, Senior Director of Marketing at Zales. “With Zales x Sweethearts®, we wanted to flip that idea and create something fun and nostalgic that reminds customers the most powerful affirmations are the ones they give themselves. These charms are about joy, confidence, and celebrating who you are — whether you’re gifting one to someone you love or choosing it just for you.”

Given what the internet is saying, Zales really nailed it.

“*adds to cart immediately*,” one Instagram user joked in response to the drop, before someone else teased, “Adding to cart! From me to me 💖.”

A third said they’re “obsessed.”

“The cutest gift for my valentine (me, I am my valentine) 💘,” another joked.

“Not a want but a need!!” one more declared.
