One of the biggest bands from the turn of the century is embarking on a new world tour, and fans of The Strokes won’t want to miss out when they come to Vancouver this summer.
The Grammy Award winners are bringing the Reality Awaits tour to Rogers Arena on Thursday, Aug. 27.
The powerhouse quintet has only scheduled two Canadian dates on the North American leg of the tour, with the other stop in Toronto this June. Tickets for all The Strokes shows go on sale on Friday, April 17, at 10 a.m.
Julian Casablancas, Albert Hammond Jr., Nikolai Fraiture, Fabrizio Moretti, and Nick Valensi are hitting the road in support of their upcoming seventh studio album, Reality Awaits.
It follows their Grammy win for Best Rock Album for 2020’s The New Abnormal, a top 10 album in six countries and number one in Scotland.
The Strokes also recently performed at Coachella, and have headlining sets lined up at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and more.
The New York-based rockers are renowned as one of the leading acts in the indie rock genre and garage rock revival of the early 2000s.
The Strokes’ debut album, Is This It, saw three huge hits climb the charts, including “Hard to Explain,” “Someday,” and the ubiquitous “Last Nite.”
It has been a busy few weeks for Vancouver concert announcements, with Canadian icon Daniel Caesar, K-Pop supergroup IVE, and rock legends Weezer coming to town in 2026.
The 49th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival also recently announced its 2026 lineup, and fans won’t want to miss the absolute trailblazers.
Every year, the iconic beachside music fest brings together dozens of artists representing the best of contemporary roots and blues, indie folk, and world music. It’s a classic summertime tradition for a reason.
