The New MSC World Asia Is Turning The Entire Ship Into Your Family Game Room

28 April 20263 Mins Read

MSC Cruises is officially leaning into the booming multigenerational travel trend with a major reveal for its upcoming flagship, MSC World Asia. When the ship debuts in December 2026, it will introduce a massive family entertainment concept designed to keep every age group—from toddlers to “kidults”—completely immersed in the action.

At the heart of the new design is the “Family Aventura District,” a dedicated hub that brings together high-energy outdoor thrills and high-tech indoor play. “As a family-owned company, MSC Cruises knows what it takes to keep the whole family happy on holiday, with tailored family entertainment activities and facilities for guests of all ages,” said Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment in a statement.

He notes that on board this newest flagship, the experience will be “bigger, bolder and more innovative than ever. Featuring our widest range of programs yet, alongside immersive, interactive and personalized experiences for everyone from toddlers to teens, families can expect truly extraordinary moments at sea.”

The district is anchored by several standout zones, including the Doremiland kids’ club, which spans a staggering 10,000 square feet, and The Clubhouse, a central indoor space featuring a LEGO Family Zone, bumper cars, and even a roller-skating rink. For those who prefer the fresh air, the outdoor park known as The Harbour will feature a ropes course, waterslides, and what the line claims is Europe’s first overwater swing.

“For us, the greatest reward is seeing the joy on families’ faces when they discover something completely new,” says Matteo Mancini, Family Entertainment Development Director. “On MSC World Asia, every experience has been designed to surprise, inspire and spark imagination. We’ve pushed creativity to new limits, and we’re confident guests will leave genuinely amazed.”

AI Avatars and Digital Gaming

Teens haven’t been forgotten in this expansion, either. MSC is introducing an AI avatar named Yuna to host themed parties and lead expanded programming for the older kids. Meanwhile, the Luna Park Arena will utilize digital technology to transform its floor into an interactive gaming space for high-stakes shows like Code Breakers and Chart Toppers.

The ship is set to sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries, calling on bucket-list destinations like Barcelona, Marseille, Naples and Rome (via Civitavecchia). By combining these iconic “Blue Zone” ports with a 10,000-square-foot playground, MSC is making a strong play for the “Ultimate Multi-Gen” title of 2026.
