7 local shops in Edmonton to buy mom flowers this Mother’s Day

28 April 20264 Mins Read

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and the best flowers in Edmonton are just waiting at your fingertips.

With this annual holiday coming up quickly, you’ll be looking for a spot to grab a beautiful bouquet for that woman in your life. I know I am, and I’ve always had trouble finding the perfect place to get flowers. No worries, not this year, because we’ve rounded up some of the best spots to get a flower bouquet for your mother.

The holiday is coming up on Sunday, May 10, and isn’t it sweeter to be supporting local and get your mother a gift that has been crafted by the community? Not only that, but you’re supporting your city in the process — a win-win if you ask me!

Ready to shop? Let’s jump in, folks.

Although Salisbury has another location in Sherwood Park, I am privy to the St. Albert location in the Enjoy Centre. It has its own floral studio, where you can explore a wonderful array of bouquets and flower arrangements.

If an arrangement isn’t the move, you can always buy flowers to plant this spring with your mother — make it a Mother’s Day date!

When: Monday to Sunday
Time:
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where:
101 Riel Dr., St. Albert, Alta.

Open since the ’90s, Laurel’s has been a staple in the Edmonton community for flowers. Whether it’s the classic tulip bouquet, an extravagant custom-made arrangement, or something you’re picking up last-minute that needs a bit of flair, Laurel’s has got you covered.

When: Monday to Sunday
Time:
Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 8210 104th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

The Lavender House is one of Edmonton’s top-rated floral services, offering same-day delivery within the city as well as surrounding areas. For Mother’s Day, there is a great selection of bouquets for you to choose from, which you can get delivered straight to your mother’s door.

It’s so much more convenient, but it’s just as beautiful.

When: Monday to Saturday
Time:
Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where:
10340 121st St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Acting as a gift, flower, and plant gallery in Edmonton, Zocalo is known for its incredible energy and fresh, funky finds in Little Italy. It also happens to have some reasonably priced bouquets, which are perfect for this occasion.

It’s open every day (except Monday), which is an absolute win for anyone in desperate need of a Mother’s Day gift.

When: Tuesday to Sunday
Time:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where:
 10826 95th St., Edmonton, Alta.

Offering same-day delivery is Keep Blooming, a flower boutique located in the city. If you’re looking for the widest array of bouquet options, I think this might be your best bet. There are so many stunning arrangements, I wouldn’t be able to pick myself.

No matter which you settle on, your mother is going to absolutely love it.

When: Monday to Sunday
Time:
Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where:
10062 80th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Open since the 1960s, this greenhouse is an Edmonton area staple, for sure. It definitely has all your gardening needs, as well as the flowers you’ll need for this upcoming Mother’s Day.

The flower shop has arrangements starting at $45, meaning you can absolutely get the bang for your buck here.

When: Monday to Sunday
Time:
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where:
1320 167th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

With Mother’s Day bouquets starting at $60, you can get a gorgeous display from Awesome Blossom for a great price. These bouquets are florist-designed, as well as hand-delivered, meaning you’ll really get the most out of your experience.

When: Monday to Saturday
Time:
Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where:
11140 142nd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
