Summer 2026 is fast approaching, and Netflix is gearing up for a massive slate of blockbuster movies to keep you glued to your screens when you need a break from the heat. From highly anticipated sequels to big-budget sci-fi and a few major surprises, here’s your (early) comprehensive guide to what’s coming to Netflix this summer, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

As always, keep this page bookmarked. Release dates are subject to change, and we’ll be updating this list constantly as Netflix drops new trailers, plot synopses, and exact release dates for the TBD titles.

Here is your summer movie preview for 2026!

May 2026

Ladies First

  • Coming to Netflix: May 22nd
  • Runtime: 1hr 30m
  • Rating: R
  • Director: Thea Sharrock (Wicked Little Letters)
  • Cast: Sacha Baron Cohen, Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Emily Mortimer, Charles Dance, Fiona Shaw

Kicking off our summer slate is this high-concept, R-rated satirical comedy. Loosely inspired by the 2018 French Netflix film I Am Not an Easy Man, the movie stars Sacha Baron Cohen as an entitled, womanizing advertising executive whose life is flipped upside down when he bumps his head and wakes up in a parallel universe completely dominated by women. Now playing by a new set of rules, he goes head-to-head with his fierce workplace rival (played by Rosamund Pike). With an absolutely stacked British cast, expect sharp humor and plenty of reversed power-dynamic hijinks.

June 2026

The Marked Woman

  • Coming to Netflix: June 5th
  • Runtime: 1hr 47m
  • Director: Gabe Ibáñez
  • Language: Spanish
  • Cast: Candela Peña, Ana Rujas, Pol López, Manolo Solo, Luka Peros

If you kept up with the Next on Netflix Spain showcase, you know this is one of their biggest international thrillers of the year. Adapted from the gripping crime novel by Rosa Montero and Olivier Truc, the film kicks off at the bustling port of Barcelona where a young woman (Rujas) is discovered locked inside a shipping container—bound, gagged, and devoid of all memories. When a sudden attempt is made on her life at the hospital, Detective Anna Ripoll (Peña) and Officer Quique Zárate (López) must race against the clock to uncover her identity before the assassin finishes the job.

Office Romance

  • Coming to Netflix: June 5th
  • Rating: R
  • Director: Ol Parker (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again)
  • Runtime: 1hr 52m
  • Cast: Jennifer Lopez, Brett Goldstein, Betty Gilpin, Edward James Olmos, Bradley Whitford, Amy Sedaris, Tony Hale

Releasing alongside The Marked Woman is a star-studded, R-rated workplace rom-com. Co-written by Ted Lasso creator and star Brett Goldstein, the film follows Jackie Cruz (J.Lo), the strict CEO of Air Cruz, who enforces a rigid anti-fraternization policy for all her employees. But when a sexy new hire named Daniel (Goldstein) joins the team, that policy is put to the ultimate test. Billed as a raunchy comedy that pushes the envelope of what you’d normally expect from a J.Lo romance, this is going to be a huge hit for the streamer.

I Am Frankelda

  • Coming to Netflix: June 16th
  • Directors: Arturo Ambriz, Roy Ambriz
  • Cast: Mireya Mendoza, Arturo Mercado Jr., Luis Leonardo Suárez

Soy FrankeldaSoy Frankelda

Helped by Guillermo del Toro, this gorgeous new stop-animated movie has been sweeping the awards circuit and drops on Netflix this Summer. The synopsis reads:

“Frankelda, a determined 19th-century Mexican writer, journeys into her subconscious to face the monsters she’s written about. Guided by a tormented prince, she must restore the balance between fiction and reality before it’s too late.”

Voicemails for Isabelle

  • Coming to Netflix: June 19th
  • Runtime: 1hr 55m
  • Director: Leah McKendrick
  • Cast: Zoey Deutch, Nick Robinson, Lukas Gage, Nick Offerman

Based on a highly sought-after Black List script, this rom-com follows Jill (Deutch), a young woman struggling to cope with her sister Isabelle’s death. To process her grief, Jill routinely leaves funny, raw voicemails on her late sister’s phone detailing her messy love life and career struggles in Los Angeles. What Jill doesn’t know is that the number has been reassigned to Austin (Robinson), a real estate agent who becomes hooked on her hilariously confessional stories and impulsively flies to LA to meet her.

Little Brother

  • Coming to Netflix: June 26th
  • Director: Matt Spicer (Ingrid Goes West)
  • Cast: John Cena, Eric André, Michelle Monaghan, Christopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim

John Cena is officially deep into his post-WWE acting era, and he’s teaming up with chaotic comedy legend Eric André for this one. The film centers around a famous real estate agent whose carefully curated, incredibly orderly life is entirely upended when his eccentric “little brother” unexpectedly reappears. We’ve seen early photos of Cena and André together, and the buddy-comedy energy is already looking incredibly fun.

July 2026

Enola Holmes 3

  • Coming to Netflix: July 1st
  • Runtime: 1hr 45m

Millie Bobby Brown is back! One of Netflix’s most successful film franchises returns to kick off July with a bang. While Netflix is keeping the exact case files classified for now, expect plenty of fourth-wall breaks, clever disguises, and Holmes family drama in this action-packed threequel.

Have your tissues ready for this bittersweet, emotional conclusion.
