Toronto is getting four new flights to some seriously stunning beach escapes

1 May 20262 Mins Read

If you’re already daydreaming of ways to avoid the impending harsh winter this year, you’ll be pleased to hear that a Toronto-based airline just announced new, non-stop flights to a handful of tropical destinations.

Porter Airlines is officially launching four new direct flight routes out of Toronto’s Pearson Airport for the 2026-2027 season: Aruba, San José, Montego Bay, and Los Cabos. Those additions come on top of existing service to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau, Grand Cayman, and Liberia, Costa Rica.

The airline will also be introducing new non-stop flights from Hamilton to Montego Bay this winter season, and will be the only airline out of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport to offer this service.

Porter’s Toronto to Aruba flight is set to launch on Oct. 30 and will operate five times a week. The direct flight to Los Cabos will kick off on Nov. 16 and operate three times a week, while flights to Montego Bay will begin operating on Nov. 23, five times a week.

San José, Costa Rica, will be the last of the four new routes to launch on Dec. 2, and will operate four times per week. Porter’s flights from Hamilton to Montego Bay will launch on Dec. 20, operating twice weekly.

Along with these new routes, the airline will also be increasing its capacity for several existing winter destinations, including Phoenix, offering flights twice daily, and Puerto Vallarta flights, which will operate daily during the winter season instead of the previous five flights per week.

Porter will be competing with several other airlines on its routes, including WestJet, which already offers non-stop flights to Aruba and Montego Bay; Air Canada, which offers direct flights to Aruba, Los Cabos, Montego Bay, and San José; and Air Transat, which offers direct service to Montego Bay.
