A massive three-day festival with train rides is taking over this Toronto street

25 May 20262 Mins Read

The Fairbank Summerfest is returning to Eglinton Avenue West next month, transforming the stretch just west of Dufferin Street into a massive pedestrian-only celebration filled with carnival attractions.

With festival season in full swing, this three-day street party taking place June 19 to 21 promises live entertainment, free rides, and tons of food that will take you on a trip across the globe.

The annual event has become one of the city’s biggest street festivals, drawing huge crowds each summer. In 2025 alone, more than 110,000 people attended the festival, which gives you an idea of what to expect this year.

One of the biggest draws of Fairbank Summerfest is that almost everything is free, including admission, entertainment, and carnival rides, including train rides that circle the grounds all day long. Visitors will, however, have to pay to sample the foods lined up throughout the festival. Sounds like a fair trade!

This year’s entertainment lineup is also pretty stellar, if you ask me.

Friday’s schedule features performances by Neon Nostalgic, Latin Train, and Epic Eagles, a tribute band honouring the iconic ’70s rock group.

Saturday’s programming includes live wrestling, Taylor Swift-inspired performances, and more rock bands, with headliners performing late into the night. Sunday will close things out with singers, DJs and additional musical acts before the festival wraps at 9 p.m.

And as if all that wasn’t enough, organizers will also hand out free popcorn on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. each day while supplies last.  More information will be available on the event’s official website.

Fairbank Summerfest takes place along Eglinton Avenue West between Dufferin Street and Ronald Avenue from June 19 to 21. Road closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. on June 19 until 3 a.m. on June 22. TTC bus service will be available from Eglinton West Station and Dufferin Station.
