When warm weather hits in Toronto, it’s only a matter of time before every weekend is filled up with pop-up markets for every taste! Shopping is never better than with a drink in hand, browsing outside in the warm weather as you hop from vendor to vendor. Toronto just does pop-up markets right, and here are some of the best ones happening the month of June.
Hippie Market
When: June 5–7, June 20–21
Arguably the originator of the pop-up market trend in Toronto, we can’t forget about Hippie Market! They’re offering two very different and exciting market options this month, the first being from June 5–7 during Do West Fest. They’ll be taking over the last stretch of the street festival with countless vintage vendors and good vibes. If high-end, designer finds are more your thing, then don’t miss Hippie Market: The Luxe Edit from June 20–21.
Glad Day Lit’s Pride Month Artist Market
When: June 6, June 13
Celebrate the start of Pride Month with a market full of queer and trans artists! With free entry and over 60 vendors, get ready to pick up some fresh merch ahead of the Pride Parade at the end of the month. Vendors include Fruity Frog Creations, The Happy Yam, Spice Babies and more.
Toronto Flea
When: June 7
Shop around at a flea market with totally historic vibes, thanks to the return of the Toronto Flea on June 7. Located on the front lawn of Ashbridge Estate, expect plenty of storybook whimsy — like a bookstore out of a van and a tiny trailer filled with vintage clothes.
Hogtown Flea
When: June 13
It’s been almost a year since Hogtown Flea has graced the city with its extremely cool vintage market. Finally, on June 13, it’s coming back, this time taking over Bevy, a café and event space. Run by the team at Hogtown Vintage, you can expect plenty of workwear, graphic Ts, denim and maybe even a tattoo artist on site.
Double Take Pop-Up Market
When: June 13
Thrift lovers in Toronto know that Double Take is an underrated thrift gem in the city — and on June 13, they’re hosting a full pop-up! This community market will feature more than 20 vendors selling not just second-hand finds but handmade goods, vintage and more. There will also be live music, a community mending workshop and dollar bins to dig through if you love the hunt.
The Toronto Vintage & Retro Fair
When: June 19–21
From June 19 to 21, Evergreen Brick Works will travel back in time with the Toronto Vintage & Retro Fair. Offering thrift finds, antique decor and vinyl records from decades past, there will also be a DJ spinning retro tunes and food vendors serving up nostalgic treats from different eras.
Toronto Summer Makers Market
When: June 26–28
An open air market is taking over Trinity Bellwoods from June 26 to 28. Toronto Summer Makers Market promises handmade crafts and goodies by local artisans, from home decor and jewelry to artwork and beauty products.
