Travis and Jason Kelce Get Nostalgic About the One Thing From the '90s They’d Bring Back

10 June 20263 Mins Read

Travis Kelceand Jason Kelce are looking back at the ’90s, and their answers say a lot.

In a new New Heights clip shared on Instagram, the brothers were asked what one thing from the ’90s they would bring back “to stay forever.”

The question led to a quick nostalgia round that included video games, Blockbuster and one very simple part of childhood that they seemed especially ready to revive.

Jason Kelce Picked a Classic ’90s Console

Jason went straight to one of the decade’s most recognizable video game systems.

“Probably Nintendo 64,” he said. “I just love that console so much, and I feel like video games have gotten too complicated.”

“I liked when you played a sport game and you had, like, three buttons to choose from,” Jason added.

Jason also wanted to bring back another major ’90s staple: Blockbuster.

“Blockbuster was fun,” Travis said, though he also admitted it would not feel the same if it came back now.

Blockbuster was not just about renting a movie. It was the experience of leaving the house, wandering the aisles and arguing over what everyone was actually going to watch.

For a lot of ’90s kids, the ritual was half the fun.

The answer that seemed to land best was not a product or a store. It was pickup baseball.

“Sandlot pickup baseball,” Jason said.

Travis immediately backed that idea.

“The pickup s—, I think that’s the best,” he said. “Going to the park with the guys was the best.”

Jason then summed up the larger point: “Having to leave your house to hang out with people. I would bring that back from the ’90s,” with Travis adding, “I’m bringing that back, 100%.”

Why the ’90s Question Fits the Kelces So Well

The Kelces have leaned into nostalgia before on New Heights, especially when it comes to sports games. They previously talked about the Backyard Sports franchise, including Jason’s interest in seeing the classic-style games make a comeback, according to the New York Post.

The beloved video game series, which began with Backyard Baseball in 1997, later got renewed attention as plans for a revival were announced.
