Meliá Hotels International to Open Two New Properties in Mendoza, Argentina

Meliá Hotels International has signed two new hotel projects in Mendoza, Argentina: Meliá Mendoza and Meliá Collection Valle de Uco, both scheduled to open in 2028. These properties mark the company’s entry into Mendoza province.

Meliá Mendoza will be located in central Mendoza city, near Plaza Independencia, and will feature 140 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and meeting facilities. The hotel will operate under the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand.

Meliá Collection Valle de Uco will be situated in Valle de Uco, about 100 kilometers from the city of Mendoza. The hotel will offer 110 rooms, including 10 branded residences, as well as a wellness area, family-friendly spaces, and multiple dining options. This property will be part of the Meliá Collection brand.

Both hotels are owned by Grupo Almarena. The partnership between Meliá Hotels International and Grupo Almarena now includes five properties, two of which are in Buenos Aires, as well as a future project in Costa del Este.

Meliá Hotels International currently operates six hotels in Argentina, four of which have opened in the past two years. The company has five additional projects in the pipeline, all signed during the same period.

In Buenos Aires, Meliá operates Meliá Recoleta Plaza, Casa Lucía Meliá Collection, and the Affiliated by Meliá properties Almarena Madero Urbano and Almarena Puerto Retiro. Other properties in Argentina include Gran Meliá Iguazú and Alejandro I Affiliated by Meliá in Salta.

Future expansion plans in Argentina include new hotels in Ushuaia and Bariloche, as well as the introduction of the INNSiDE by Meliá brand in Costa del Este.
