How an International Resort Group Built a Data-Driven CRM Engine

16 June 20262 Mins Read

In Brief: An international resort group has successfully implemented a data-driven CRM system, demonstrating how advanced analytics can be used to modernize guest marketing efforts on a large scale.

THE CHALLENGE

A leading international all-inclusive resort group operates a portfolio of premium properties across multiple destinations, serving a diverse global guest base. To grow commercial performance, the group needed to engage guests more consistently at scale, lifting email performance through deeper personalization, growing an active contactable database, and making campaign execution more efficient across properties.

THE SOLUTION

The group partnered with Cendyn and adopted Cendyn CRM as the foundation for its data-driven marketing strategy. The platform gave the team a unified way to expand its contactable audience, personalize guest journeys, and automate lifecycle marketing across the portfolio. The team prioritized three outcomes: more direct bookings, higher customer lifetime value, and sharper analytics to guide ongoing optimization.

Key capabilities the team put to work:

  • Automated lifecycle campaigns including welcome, win-back, anniversary, and OTA-to-direct conversion journeys
  • Audience segmentation and personalization at the portfolio level
  • Centralized reporting dashboards combining CRM insights with Power BI for deeper performance analysis
  • Campaign optimization tools to refine creative, timing, and targeting
  • Integrations connected CRM to the broader Cendyn ecosystem with campaign analytics flowing into centralized reporting.

Results

From January to September 2025, the client achieved the following results:

  • Open Rate: 39.6% – well above the hospitality industry benchmark
  •  5% increase in campaign volume with engagement rates sustained at scale

What’s Next!

The group’s roadmap focuses on deeper personalization, expanded automation, and predictive analytics to anticipate guest intent and surface higher-value audiences earlier in the journey.
