Hilton Boston Back Bay Unveils Renovated 401-Room Hotel on Dalton Street

Hilton Boston Back Bay has completed an extensive renovation of its 401-room hotel at the intersection of the Back Bay, Fenway, and Symphony neighborhoods, near universities, research hospitals, music venues, and cultural institutions.

The renovation features redesigned guest rooms, expanded fitness and wellness facilities, and updated meeting and event spaces. Now managed by Highgate, the property includes a redesigned porte-cochere and parking area, a new lobby with marble surfaces, walnut millwork, and copper accent lighting, and the introduction of 40 Dalton Kitchen & Bar, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Guest rooms and suites offer views of the Charles River and Boston’s skyline, natural finishes, 66-inch televisions, king or two queen beds, and modernized bathrooms, most with walk-in showers. Premium rooms are 450 square feet and include electronic drapes and upgraded amenities.

The fitness center has been expanded to 3,500 square feet, with indoor and outdoor spaces, including Peloton bikes, Life Fitness equipment, strength-training areas with stretching bands, stability balls, and free weights, as well as an outdoor wellness space for movement classes and private programming.

Meeting and event spaces now total 15,000 square feet across 13 venues, including boardrooms, conference rooms, breakout spaces, ballrooms, and pre-function areas, with brushed brass detailing and skylights. The hotel plans to open The Commonwealth, a new 2,500-square-foot venue with natural light, this summer.

The hotel is located across from the Hynes Convention Center and The Shops at Prudential Center, and two blocks from Copley Place and Newbury Street. Fenway Park is less than a mile away, and the property is adjacent to Berklee College of Music, with the Museum of Fine Arts and Charles River Esplanade nearby.

Hilton Boston Back Bay plans to introduce locally inspired partnerships and experiences, including collaborations tied to America’s 250th anniversary and wellness programming on the outdoor deck.
