And if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything happening, you’re definitely not alone. Luckily, we’ve rounded up some of the best events happening around the city this July, so you can skip the scrolling and plan a stress-free summer.

Let’s take a look at what’s happening in Calgary this July.

If you’re into the weird, spooky and slightly unusual side of history, the Curiosities and Oddities Walking Tour is a great way to explore it. The experience takes you through different areas of the park as you hear strange stories, hidden details, and unexpected moments from Calgary’s past.

When: July 1, 3, 8, 10, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $24.95

Celebrate Canada Day at Heritage Park with a full day of family-friendly entertainment, cultural celebrations and hands-on activities. The park will be filled with vintage displays, historical reenactments, a lively parade and plenty of experiences to explore at your own pace.

When: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Included with General Admission; Starting at $27.95

Calgary’s most anticipated culinary showdown is back at The District at Beltline Courtyard. Six of YYC’s top chefs will go head-to-head, creating bold Stampede-inspired dishes in a live competition,

Guests can watch the chefs in action as they compete for both the judges’ top honours and the People’s Choice Awards, where you have the opportunity to vote for your favourite dish of the night.

Calgary has no shortage of hidden history, with stories that have shaped the city in ways you may not have noticed. This one-hour walking tour at The Confluence explores the lives of six key historical figures and their impact during the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Calgary Stampede is back, bringing 10 days of rodeo action, live music, food, and city-wide celebrations. Beyond the Stampede grounds, there will be pancake breakfasts, pop-up parties, and plenty of western energy happening all around the city.

Cowboys Music Festival is set to return with a massive lineup featuring artists like Macklemore, John Summit, Ella Langley, Dominic Fike, and more. Expect high-energy, packed crowds, and nonstop performances all week long.

Mexifest is taking over Eau Claire Plaza for a three-day cultural celebration that brings the spirit of Mexico to Downtown Calgary. The festival will feature authentic food vendors, live music, traditional performances and entertainment, transforming the plaza into a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture.

When: Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where: Eau Claire Plaza – 101 Barclay Parade SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Friday, Free from 11 a.m. to noon; Saturday and Sunday, $10 in advance or $20 at the entrance

During Stampede, Chance the Rapper will take over the Grey Eagle Event Centre with a special intimate performance. Known for his electric stage presence and feel-good sound, this is a rare chance to see him up close in a more personal setting than his usual arena performances.

The Rev Up Auto Show is back, featuring everything from luxury cars and custom builds to classic rides and performance vehicles, all in one place for auto fans to explore.

Looking to catch some live sports this month? The Calgary Stampeders go head-to-head with the Montreal Alouettes at McMahon Stadium in a classic CFL matchup.

Just outside the city, the Bow Valley Boot Stomp is set to take over Cochrane with a weekend full of country music, food trucks, beer gardens, and live entertainment.
