Halekulani has appointed Brian Harris to the newly created position of Director of International Commercial Strategy for Halekulani and Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani. The role is designed to integrate commercial strategy across both properties.
As a member of Halekulani’s Leadership Committee, Harris will work with operational and commercial teams to shape the strategic direction of the hotels. He will partner with teams in Revenue Management, Public Relations, Sales & Marketing, and Reservations to unify commercial strategy.
The position aims to maximize revenue, expand market share, and enhance business performance for both properties. It also supports the integration of commercial disciplines and a comprehensive approach to total revenue management, strategic planning, and long-term value creation across the portfolio.
Harris brings more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience in Asia and North America, with a background in luxury hotel operations, commercial strategy, asset repositioning, and market development. He has served as an Independent Director of LOTTE Hotels and previously as Area Director of Sales & Marketing, North Asia, with Hyatt Hotels. He has also held general manager and senior hotel leadership roles in Asia.
Harris will be based in Honolulu and will be joined by his wife, Bo Mi, and their two sons.
