Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville has appointed Melissa Sims as general manager and Tony Rodriguez as commercial director as it continues opening preparations.
Melissa Sims will oversee hotel operations, culture and guest experience for Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville, including the property’s opening. She most recently served as general manager of Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe.
Sims has two decades of Four Seasons experience, including roles in operations, people and culture, and learning and development. In Jacksonville, she will build the property’s team and develop local relationships during the pre-opening period.
Tony Rodriguez has been appointed commercial director for the hotel and residences. He will lead commercial activities and market positioning as the property prepares to welcome guests and the Jacksonville community.
Rodriguez has more than three decades of experience at Four Seasons. His previous leadership roles have included work in Florida and other markets, as well as hotel openings, repositioning projects and multi-property strategy.
Shanna Collective is developing Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville along the St. Johns River. The project will include a Four Seasons property within a Sports & Entertainment District, with direct marina access and proximity to Jacksonville cultural, entertainment and sporting destinations.
