Minor Hotels has named Judd Rabbidge general manager of Avani Singapore Hotel, the group’s first property in Singapore. Rabbidge will transfer from Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort, where he has served as general manager since joining Minor Hotels in July 2024.
Rabbidge will oversee the pre-opening and launch of Avani Singapore Hotel. His responsibilities will include team recruitment and development, operational readiness, commercial strategy and guest experience. He will work with Minor Hotels’ regional and corporate teams on the hotel’s market positioning.
Rabbidge has more than 20 years of hospitality experience in Australia, the Maldives, Indonesia, Fiji and Europe. Before joining Minor Hotels, he was hotel manager at W Sydney, where he oversaw the pre-opening phase and launch of the 588-room property.
From 2018 to 2022, Rabbidge served as director of sales and marketing at W Bali – Seminyak. His previous roles also included operational leadership positions at Marriott properties in the region and senior management positions with Mantra Group.
Rabbidge is an Australian national and holds a bachelor’s degree in applied hospitality, tourism and business management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth, New Zealand.
