Vancouver is full of haunted houses in October leading up to Halloween. There are family-friendly spooky attractions, but also ultra-scary ones too!

Top scary Halloween attractions that are a staple every year include Fright Nights at the PNE and Cougar Creek House of Horrors in Surrey. In the Fraser Valley there is Brinkworth Dungeon in Langley and Reapers Maze of Terror in Chilliwack.

As well, there are spooky walking tours with Grave Tales in Fort Langley and Forbidden Vancouver in Gastown. In addition, you can enjoy Halloween fun at Canyon Frights at Capilano Bridge.

Vancouver and the Lower Mainland have numerous haunted attractions to choose from. Most are super freaky and not for the faint hearted. Others are suitable for the entire family, except maybe not for very young children and folks with nervous dispositions.

Chilliwack Haunted Attraction

Reapers Maze of Terror – a haunted attraction that operates on select days between October 2nd and 31st in 2026. Located at 9423 Gibson Road, this haunt is not recommended for young children (although the same venue is home to kid-friendly Peteys Pumpkin Patch).
TIP: Reaper’s hits capacity on many nights, especially on weekends and nights with good weather close to Halloween. Purchasing tickets online in advance is a good idea.

Surrey Haunted Attractions

Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors – this exceptional place has multiple haunted venues at 12530 72nd Avenue. In 2026 the attraction runs on select dates from October 2nd to November 1st. This place is amazing! Definitely the best place in Surrey for people who want to get freaked out!
Halloween Pumpkin Express – child-friendly miniature train rides at Bear Creek Park in Surrey. The Haunted Forest Scream Train is at the same place and last year it cost $17.50 per person (compared to $12 for the kids’ train). The Halloween season at Bear Creek starts on October 1st, but the scary night train don’t begin until October 16th.

Langley Haunted House

Haunted VR at Zero Latency – want to experience a virtual reality haunted house instead of a traditional bricks and mortar one? You can do that at Zero Latency. The game centre has a location at Willowbrook Mall as well as another one in Vancouver. (TIP: After experiencing Haunted, assuming you survive, play a combat game afterwards. Depending on what you choose, you can fight pirates, aliens, zombies or other monsters.)
Brinkworth Dungeon – located at 22260 48th Avenue, this is an amazing haunted house that’s built and designed by a professional artist. This year the cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 6 to 12. It’s also free for kids ages 5 and under. In 2026 Brinkworth Dungeon plans to run from around October 15th until the end of November, but with exact details to be confirmed. Grave Tales in Fort Langley – Halloween-themed walking tours take place in the Village of Fort Langley at night. They aren’t a “haunted house,” but the tours are as scary as one! In 2025 they happen in the evenings of October 16th, 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, 25th and 30th.

Vancouver Haunted Attractions

Playland Fright Nights – the classic PNE/Playland event runs on most nights from October 7th until Halloween night in 2026. It includes seven haunted houses along with amusement rides and other fun. This is one of Canada’s biggest, best and most famous Halloween attractions!
Flyover at Halloween – the Halloween film at the multidimensional theatre at Canada Place is “HowlOver Canada”. Screenings run daily from October 15th until November 1st.
Barclay Manor – a haunted house hosted by the West End Community Centre Association. It takes place in a heritage building at 1447 Barclay Street in Vancouver’s West End. The attraction ran on October 31st and November 1st last year and the cost was $5 per person or $15 for a family of four. The dates and other details for 2026 are to be confirmed.
Halloween at the Roundhouse – on October 31st in 2026 the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown hosts Halloween Spooktacular for children ages 4 to 12.
Stanley Park Ghost Train – family-friendly miniature train rides usually run daily during the last half or so of October. It’s not a haunted house, but it is haunted and good for children. (Note: The train has been plagued by mechanical and other issues over the course of the past couple of years. Consequently, it isn’t running at Halloween in 2026.)
Haunted at Zero Latency – the game centre Zero Latency is known for its virtual reality combat games like Space Marine, Far Cry and Outbreak. Did you know though that they also have a virtual reality haunted house? It’s called Haunted and it’s terrifying! There is a location at Kingsgate Mall in Vancouver, but also at Willowbrook Mall in Langley.

Other Vancouver Haunted Attractions

Other fun Halloween things to do in Vancouver are the Lost Souls of Gastown walking tours and Halloween Mystery Nights with Vancouver Mysteries. They aren’t haunted houses either, but still highly recommended!

Maple Ridge Haunted Attractions

Alouette Cemetery – an annual graveyard display in a residential neighbourhood in Maple Ridge. The attraction is open throughout October. Admission is free, but donations benefitting Katie’s Place Animal Shelter are greatly appreciated.

Coquitlam’s Haunted Attraction

Forestridge Haunted Yard – a haunted house at a person’s home at 2988 Forestridge Place. Last year it was open from October 1st until November 1st (so for two weeks longer than the year before). Admission is by donation. Details about the attraction in 2026 are to be confirmed.

North Vancouver Haunted Attractions

Canyon Frights – it’s not a “haunted house” in that it’s not in a building or something that’s super scary. The Halloween attraction at Capilano Suspension Bridge, however, is an awesome Halloween event that’s suitable for all ages. It has spooky decorations, but nothing overly scary. The place looks beautiful and festive as opposed to frightening. It’s highly recommended and runs from October 9th until November 1st this year.
Dovercourt Crypt – a fabulous family-run North Shore haunted house that usually operates from mid to late October until the end of the month. Entrance is by donation and proceeds benefitted the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund. Last year’s dates were October 18th to 31st. 2026 will likely be similar, but with exact details to be confirmed.
Haunt-Inn Walk-Through – a family-friendly Halloween attraction was outside the Holiday Inn Hotel in North Vancouver until November 2nd last year. Admission was by donation. Whether the event happens again in 2026 or not is to be confirmed.

Abbotsford Haunted Attractions

Maan Farms – a fun place to enjoy Halloween activities is at Maan Farms in Abbotsford. The venue’s Forest Pumpkin Patch is open on select nights this year. There’s also the ultra-serious and scary Haunted Corn Maze and other terrifying experiences.

Burnaby Haunted Houses

Burnaby’s Haunted Village – a family-friendly event with a variety of things to see. This is a haunted attraction, but not an overly-scary one. It is a good attraction for younger children. In 2026 the attraction operates from on weekends between October 23rd to 31st.

Mission Haunted Attractions

Mission Nightmare Haunted House – a Halloween attraction at the Silverdale Community Hall at 8760 McLean Street. It was open from October 17th to 30th last year. It isn’t happening in 2026, however, but might again in 2027. In years when it does happen, on Tuesdays there are no actors, which is good for those who want to explore the house without being jump-scared. Admission is $10 and partial proceeds benefit the Mission Hospice Society.
