From corn mazes to comedy nights, Edmonton is absolutely packed with some great things to do this week.

This October, Edmonton is still bringing the heat. With a bunch of amazing activities lined up this week, there’s going to be no shortage of fun-filled things to do. Whether it’s a scare night with friends or a movie night with the family, we’ve got you covered in this week’s roundup, so without further ado, let’s jump into it!

This corn maze sits west of Edmonton and features outdoorsy, family-friendly fun from August to October. Complete with farm animals, spud gun launches, mini golf, a popular sunflower stroll, photo opportunities, and a pumpkin patch coming this fall, this experience truly offers it all.

When: Now until Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday; 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 51529 Range Rd. 262, Spruce Grove, Alta.
Cost: $15+

Pumpkins After Dark is back for more Halloween madness, and this year, it has rebuilt the experience for the most immersive, memorable, and magical season yet. This upcoming weekend will be its first time operating in Edmonton in 2026.

When: Now until Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026
Time: 6:30 to 11 p.m.
Where: Borden Park — 7507 Borden Park Rd. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Varies depending on date

This October, Symphony Under the Stars invites guests to an exceptional weekend where the celebrated sounds of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra unfold under the night sky during Jasper’s annual Dark Sky Festival.

Set along the shores of Lac Beauvert, this limited-capacity experience blends world-class performance, elevated culinary moments, and the rare luxury of experiencing one of Canada’s most breathtaking natural landscapes after dark.

When: Friday, Oct. 16 to Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026
Time: 5 to 10 p.m.
Where: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge — 1 Old Lodge Rd., Jasper, Alta.
Cost: $135+ (varies depending on package)

Fort Edmonton Park hosts this huge scare event each year in Edmonton with several haunts, roving entertainment, food and drink to enjoy, and a live DJ spinning tunes all evening. This year, four different haunt experiences will take over the park: three returning from past years, and one being an all-new nightmare.

When: Now until Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026
Time: Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; Haunts open from 7 to 11 p.m.
Where: 7000 143rd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $50+

If you aren’t familiar, Deadmonton is easily one of the creepiest, scariest, and most exciting haunted houses in Edmonton during Halloween season. With three new haunts ready for your arrival, you’re going to have your socks absolutely knocked off. Invite some friends, grab your coat, and get ready for the thrill of a lifetime.

When: Now until Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026
Time: Varies
Where: 9300 47th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Varies based on time and date

In this experience at Fort Edmonton Park, you are taken through a real, authentic paranormal investigation using tools and techniques like the Spirit Box and EMF Readers. While you learn the history of the buildings and the park, you also get to hear the best-kept ghost stories they have to offer.

This year, the two options include the 1885 Street Venture or the Fort Featured Investigation, which takes you through the impressive Rowand House.

When: Now until Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2026

Where: 7000 143rd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $67 plus tax

Every Tuesday this month, Fort Edmonton Park will be showing a different horror movie each week leading up to Halloween on Oct. 31. These movie nights will be taking place in the park’s historic 1920s-style Capitol Theatre, an iconic recreation of the original from 1929.

When: Every Tuesday in October 2026
Time: Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Movie at 7:30 p.m.
Where: 1920 Street, Fort Edmonton Park, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $15 plus tax

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026
Time: 10 p.m. to midnight
Where: Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

This week, Edmonton is getting five days of the year’s hottest genre films, retro favourites, restorations, and shorts you’ll want to check out on the big screen. For those who are fans of the horror genre, this festival is definitely one you won’t want to miss, especially when it’s prime time for all the spooks and scares.

When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, to Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026

Where: Metro Cinema — 8712 109th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughs at The Grindstone Theatre!

This improv night is an evening of top-tier comedy featuring the city’s best improvisers, performing hilarious, unscripted scenes based on your wildest suggestions.

When: Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026
Time: 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
