Best of Toronto 2026: The 12 top places for fun in the city, Canada Reviews

13 October 20263 Mins Read

There is always something to do in Toronto. Our annual Best of Toronto list highlights just a handful of new and exciting adventures to be had in the city including stunning trails and public art projects. Check it out.

Best Trivia Night

If you’re looking for one of Toronto’s best  trivia nights, Hemingway’s in Yorkville is a  standout, with a packed lineup of themed  events covering everything from movies,  to music and pop culture. And, maybe one  of the Jonas brothers will stop by again.=

Best New Trail

The East Don Trail has been a long time  coming, but is worth the wait. It is a stunning place for a ride or walk, gorgeous forests, riverside views and more. The  four-level switchback ramp connecting to  the ravine floor is a thing of beauty.

Best Indie Moviehouse

Fox Cinema, the oldest operating movie theatre in the city, is holding it down with an incredible slate of films, a fantastic vibe, craft beers, good wines and tasty popcorn. Not to mention so much leg room and comfortable seating.

Best Live Music Venue

The Concert Hall at 888 Yonge St., is back and better than ever. Once the legendary Rock Pile, where Led Zeppelin played its first Canadian gig, has been updated and looks amazing but is still steeped in Toronto music history. What a comeback!

Best Arcade Bar

Tilt, on Queen West, is the spot for classic arcade games. A cover charge unlocks unlimited play on a rotating roster of arcade classics as well as a solid selection of pinball machines, Skee-Ball and good food and drink options.

Best Cold Plunge

Head to Yorkville where cold plunging and all the spa-esque things get a serious glow-up at Othership with a nod to its  communal and unique experiences. The  diversity of classes is what sets this unique  facility apart from the crowd.

poll pickleball

Pickleplex takes the crown for its unique and diverse offerings, including a tidy little club tucked beside the York  Mills subway station and a large affordable Downsview facility that keeps the city’s pickleball fanatics busy.

Best Park

Biidaasige Park was already a massive  hit. This year, 10 more acres were added  along with an incredible lakeside prome nade offering stunning skyline views. The new expansion also features plenty of picnic space, play and beach areas and more.

Best Public Art

Global Convenience, created by artists  Trevor Wheatley and Cosmo Dean, wowed  the city with its eerily realistic corner store  floating in the harbour near the Jack Lay ton Ferry Terminal, creating a surreal, viral  sensation.

Best Sunset View

Riverdale Park East has turned sunset into a Toronto social occasion, with crowds  gathering nightly on the hill to watch the  skyline glow in spectacular colours. Get  their early and bring some beverages and  a blanket to enjoy the show.

Best Place to Bust a Move

The city’s coolest dance floor might just be hiding inside Ground Control, a Bowie inspired music bar on Queen West with an  eclectic mix of specialty nights and a great  vibe. Check out Serious Moonlight on  Thursdays with DJ Lazarus. It’s free!
