Elvis Presley’s former Holmby Hills mansion in Los Angeles sold for $20 million in 2020, while the neighboring property brought the total sale to nearly $30 million.
A mansion once owned by Elvis Presley, the legendary King of Rock ’n’ Roll, sold for $20 million in 2020, bringing renewed attention to the singer’s former home in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles.
The seven-bedroom estate at 144 Monovale Drive was part of a larger property deal that reached $29.3 million. The neighboring lot sold for an additional $9.3 million, according to reports by Mansion Global and The Real Deal.
Built in the 1930s, the 9,700-square-foot mansion was the last home Elvis shared with his wife, Priscilla Presley, and their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, before the couple divorced in 1973.

The sale took place about 50 years after Presley bought the property in 1970.
The Holmby Hills estate played a part in Presley’s family life during the early 1970s. The singer, who became famous for hits such as “Jailhouse Rock,” lived there with Priscilla and their daughter before their marriage ended.
The mansion was first planned as a New England-style home, according to Architectural Digest. Over time, however, several changes gave the property a different look.
During their ownership, Elvis and Priscilla spent tens of thousands of dollars updating the interiors. Their changes included remodeling the kitchen, improving the second-floor bathroom, and replacing the living room windows with French doors.
The house later gained a faux-Tudor-style wooden frame on its front exterior. These changes added to the mix of architectural styles seen across the property.
The neighboring parcel also featured a koi pond and a traditional Japanese-style teahouse, adding a separate feature to the larger estate.
The main house sold for $20 million, while the neighboring lot brought in another $9.3 million. Together, the two sales totaled $29.3 million.
The larger compound covered about 2.35 acres and included a swimming pool, a full-size tennis court and a viewing pavilion beside the court.
The property was marketed by Hilton & Hyland as a “development opportunity,” raising the possibility that a future owner could make major changes or replace the existing house.
According to Robb Report, the buyers were Ryan Hekmat and Jasmin Larian, who owns the fashion brand Cult Gaia and is the daughter of toy industry businessman Isaac Larian.
Elvis Presley died in 1977 at the age of 42, but his connection to homes across Los Angeles continues to draw attention to his real estate history. His former Holmby Hills residence remains notable as the family home he shared with Priscilla and Lisa Marie before their lives took separate paths.
