Edmonton is getting a huge holiday festival with over one million dazzling lights

2 November 20263 Mins Read

Glow is coming back to Edmonton this year with an all-new light show experience, bringing loads of holiday magic in the form of imaginative displays, immersive activities, and more fun family-friendly festivities.

Edmonton’s annual holiday festival is returning next month with an all-new experience for 2026 called The Magic Toy Shop, according to its website. This year, guests can experience over one million twinkling lights in the city, alongside dazzling displays, exciting themed activities, and discover what’s in store on the way into the Toymaker’s secret workshop.

What’s new at Glow this year?

According to Glow’s website, there are more than a few new things coming to the festival this year. It’s bringing some fresh attractions, including:

  • Glow Putt A-Round Mini Golf
    • Nine-hole mini golf intended for all ages.
  • Santa’s Secret Workshop
    • A magical shopping experience created specifically for children.
  • Merry Moose Pub
    • The festival’s new go-to spot for a holiday drink.
  • The Jolly Kids Zone
    • A new-and-improved kids zone that’s three times bigger than its predecessor, featuring interactive activities, a Bouncy Moose pit, and more.

While there are these new attractions to look forward to, the event is bringing back some fan-favourite activities and things to do, like:

  • Santa’s Sleigh VR Ride
  • The Glow Train
  • Merry Makers Market
  • Live entertainment
  • Local food trucks
  • Over one million twinkling lights

You’ll be able to check out all these attractions and things to do during regular event days, starting Friday, Dec. 3, and going until Thursday, Dec. 31 (with the exception of Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25).

In addition to these regular event days, Glow also holds its 18-and-over event (Glow After Dark on Saturday, Nov. 28) and its sensory-friendly event (Glow Without Limits on Saturday, Dec. 12), both of which provide unique curated experiences.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are available online for purchase, varying in price depending on the date.

Adult, child, and senior daily admission tickets are available starting at $17.99 (plus fees and taxes), and children ages three and under are able to enter for free. There is also a limited quantity of flex passes available, which let you attend Glow on any regular public operating day.

If you’re looking to see what the toy shop is hiding this holiday season, don’t hesitate to grab tickets for you and the ones joining you for this magical journey.

When: Saturday, Nov. 28, 2026, and Friday, Dec. 3, to Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026 (excluding Friday, Dec. 25)
Time: Various times
Where: Edmonton EXPO Centre — 7515 118th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
