A trial in Regina is hearing details about the final moments for a woman who was killed when a freight truck smashed through her bus shelter.
Nineteen-year-old Marvellous Ugochukwu died of blunt force trauma to the head.
The operator of the truck, Biniam Emaha, is charged with dangerous driving causing death in the October 2025 crash.
It’s alleged Emaha failed to stop at a red light.
His truck then crashed into another vehicle and from there careened into the bus shelter before ending up in a yard.
Photos presented in court show the truck leaving a path of broken glass and debris and the woman’s body, covered by a blue tarp, underneath the vehicle.
