In Brief: IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened Kimpton Al Rowda Doha, the first Kimpton hotel in Qatar and the brand’s second Middle East property.

Kimpton Al Rowda Doha opened in Doha, Qatar, on Nov. 2, 2026. The 283-key hotel includes 223 rooms and suites, 60 serviced residences, five dining venues and a rooftop pool. The property is named after Al Rowda, a fertile oasis where life blooms after rainfall.
The hotel’s rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, bathrooms with bathtubs and separate showers, and dedicated beauty corners. Selected rooms and suites include private balconies. The serviced residences are available in one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations and include fully equipped kitchens and living areas. Hotel services and concierge access are available to residence guests.
Dining venues include August Zang, which serves viennoiserie, breads and specialty coffee, and The Oat House, an all-day venue with plant-based, vegan and dairy-free menu options. The Oat House has a pet-friendly terrace.
The Surry is an Australian neighborhood pub for after-work and weekend gatherings. Sprezzi serves Italian food beside the rooftop pool, with views of West Bay. The Capital Grille, an American steakhouse, is scheduled to join the hotel’s dining lineup after renovation work is completed.
The rooftop includes an infinity pool with views of West Bay. Other facilities include a 24-hour fitness center, Sandscapes Spa and Wellness, the Sandalwood Ballroom and meeting rooms for conferences, weddings and private events.
The hotel offers Kimpton Kickstart in the Living Room from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m., with complimentary morning beverages and light bites. Social Hour is held at The Surry from 5 to 6 p.m. and includes drinks and bites. Bicycles are available for guest use, and each room includes a yoga mat.
Pets are permitted without charge in guest rooms, residences and the lobby. Pets may also order from a pet menu at The Oat House terrace. Pet beds and bowls are available on request.
Kimpton Al Rowda Doha follows the Middle East debut of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh. Kimpton hotels in Dubai and Jeddah are also planned. The Doha property joins IHG hotels in Qatar operating under the InterContinental, voco, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites brands.
