Canyon Ranch has opened Canyon Ranch Austin, a 600-acre resort and residential community on Lake Travis with 141 rooms, a 40,000-square-foot spa and a 12,000-square-foot medical center.
Canyon Ranch Austin is located less than one hour from downtown Austin and includes 1.5 miles of Lake Travis shoreline, trails and open terrain. Lake Flato designed the property, which has 141 rooms with rolling-hill and lake views.
The resort’s 40,000-square-foot spa includes 40 treatment rooms, a salon, retail boutique, two pools, hot and cold therapy, immersive rain showers, and men’s, women’s and coed lounge spaces. The spa offers traditional services and treatments, as well as beauty, recovery, Eastern medicine and wellness technology services.
The Barn, a 27,000-square-foot fitness facility, includes a gym, studios and an outdoor field for fitness and movement. The Wellspring is a 12,000-square-foot medical center with physicians, clinicians, technology and services, as well as the CR Vitality recovery lab.
Guests can choose from more than 30 daily activities, individual consultations, and programming focused on physical health, mental wellness, spirituality, nutrition and performance.
The resort has two restaurants included in the all-inclusive stay. The Flying X Café is a casual eatery, while Estella is led by Culinary Director Chef Val Cantú, who holds three Michelin stars for his San Francisco restaurant, Californios. Executive Chef Blake Ransom oversees the daily menu.
Canyon Ranch Austin also introduced the Women’s Wellness Collective, which provides services, care and education related to women’s health. Services include DEXA scans and hormonal therapy. Programming addresses perimenopause, menopause, hormonal health and life transitions, along with sexual health, sleep and healthy aging.
The Collective’s first retreat, Sex, Skin and Sleep, is scheduled for Nov. 12-15. Canyon Ranch also announced a wellness and beauty retreat with Camilla Alves McConaughey and a health and performance retreat with Dr. Stacy Sims later in 2026.
The resort’s Ranch Home Collection includes 134 homesites ranging from 0.8 to 3.7 acres. Lake Flato created three residential designs, with homes ranging from 3,200 to 4,800 square feet. Residences start at $3.8 million and include access to concierge health care. The community encompasses 131 homes.
Canyon Ranch has partnered with Genesis to provide transportation from Austin-area airports to the property.
