A fall market with over 100 vendors and a pumpkin patch is coming to a farm near Calgary

3 September 20264 Mins Read

The Harvest Market is returning to the Saskatoon Farm this month, bringing a huge weekend of local shopping, farm activities, and all the cozy vibes of the changing season.

Throughout the space, you’ll find over 100 vendors, a pumpkin patch, tractor-drawn wagon rides, and plenty of things to keep you busy as you make your way around the farm.

Now let’s take a further look at everything you need to know before heading over to the market.

What to expect at the Harvest Market

What is The Saskatoon Farm?

Located just south of Calgary in the Foothills, The Saskatoon Farm is a family-run destination that has been around since 1987. According to Saskatoon Farm, the property has grown into a sprawling space where visitors can explore gardens and greenhouses, shop for local goods, and enjoy seasonal activities year-round.

What can I do at the Harvest Market?

The market is designed to be a full-day outing, so there’s plenty to see and do once you arrive. More than 100 local vendors will be spread throughout the space, selling handcrafted goods and one-of-a-kind finds. There will also be live folk and country music playing during the event, so you can enjoy some local tunes as you wander around.

The farm will also have tractor-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, carnival games and activities for the whole family. So if you’re bringing the kids along, you’ll have plenty to keep them entertained while you browse the market.

And because it’s a harvest market, you can also pick up produce that was grown right on the farm. The farmers market will be stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables from the fields, and you’ll have the opportunity to fill a bag to take home for yourself.

Will there be food at the event?

You definitely won’t have to worry about going hungry while exploring the market. According to The Saskatoon Farm, handmade pastries and seasonal drinks will be available, along with fire-baked pizzas and food trucks serving savoury options. The farm’s restaurant and bakery counter will also be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you can stop in for a meal or grab a sweet treat.

Are dogs allowed?

According to Saskatoon Farm, dogs aren’t permitted on the property because of the animals on the farm and to protect both visitors and animals.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Before you head out, it’s important to note that outside food, coolers, and picnic setups are strictly prohibited on farm grounds, as all food and drinks must be purchased on-site.

Where is the Saskatoon Farm?

The Saskatoon Farm is located in Foothills County, about 20 minutes south of Calgary. Since the farm is located outside the city, you’ll need to drive there or arrange your own transportation, as there isn’t a public transit service that takes you directly to the property.

Where should I park when I get there?

Free parking is available on-site in large gravel lots right next to the main entrance and the greenhouse complex. Dedicated accessible stalls are located near the front for visitors who need easier access to the building.

Because the festival is expected to attract a large crowd, staff will be stationed throughout the parking area to direct incoming traffic efficiently.

When is the Harvest Market?

The Harvest Market takes place over two days: Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026. The market grounds, bakery, restaurant, and vendor stalls will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are currently $9 plus fees when purchased online in advance, while children aged ten and under can enter for free. All tickets must be bought online ahead of time, and during the checkout process you’ll be asked to select a specific time window.

This staggered entry system will help manage surrounding road traffic and parking availability, but once you enter, you’re welcome to stay and explore the farm as long as you’d like until closing time at 5 p.m.

The $9 ticket admission to the Harvest Market does not include any additional purchases or activities at the farm. So if you want to grab food, drinks, or anything from the vendors, you’ll need to purchase those separately.

When: Saturday, Sept. 12 to Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Saskatoon Farm – 80181 338th Ave. E. #20, Foothills County, Alta.
Cost: $9 plus fees; children 10 and under: Free
