A sunset cruise is coming to Calgary for one night only

12 May 20263 Mins Read

Picture this: it’s a warm summer night in Calgary; you’ve got a drink in your hand, music is playing, and you’re on the water, watching the skyline glow as the sun sets.

Now, imagine that being something you can actually experience this summer.

Calgary’s first-ever Sunset Cruise is coming to the city for one night only this June, turning a night on the water into a full experience with music, food, and plenty of golden-hour views.

A night on the water

Happening on Tuesday, June 30, just ahead of Canada Day, this sunset cruise kicks off at Heritage Park with a full evening planned on the water.

The night starts at the Wainwright hotel, where you’ll meet before boarding for a cruise along the water. And once you’re on the water, it switches into full party mode, with music from the ’70s to the early 2000s. Think disco, R&B, hip-hop, reggae, and soca, all mixed by DJs Gummi, Fuzzy, and Erwin.

To add to the theme, guests are encouraged to wear all-white attire, which ties into the evening’s elevated, nostalgic feel and makes the whole thing feel a little more picture-perfect.

There will also be complimentary bites and sweets handed out throughout the night!

What to expect

The evening runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., starting on land before heading out on the cruise and wrapping up later in the evening.

There will be a cash bar available before boarding, but no alcohol will be served on the vessel due to safety and vessel capacity rules.

Tickets start at around $140 plus fees, and with limited capacity, this one is expected to book up quickly.

Honestly, this event is shaping up to be one of those summer experiences that feel a little different than anything else happening in the city. It’s not just about the sunset cruise itself, but the full setup that makes it stand out. Music all night, food included, people dressed in all-white, and spectacular views.

So if you’re already thinking about summer plans or looking for something outside of your usual patio rotation, this is definitely one to keep in mind.

When: Tuesday, June 30, 2026
Time: 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: Heritage Park – 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: $140.95
