Toronto Maple Leafs forward Brandon Duhaime and his wife, Kaylee, have officially announced some major news off the ice: they are expecting their first child together.
The couple took to Instagram to share the milestone, posting a joint carousel featuring ultrasound snaps and shots from a maternity photoshoot. The reveal confirmed that the pair are expecting a baby boy due this coming February.
Kaylee captioned the post: “Baby boy arriving in February. Thank you God for this blessing.”
The timing lines up rather neatly with the couple’s personal calendar. Brandon and Kaylee tied the knot in February in an intimate, private ceremony surrounded by roughly 50 of their closest friends and family members. That means their new arrival will touch down almost exactly on their first wedding anniversary.
While Duhaime was born in Coral Springs, Florida, his hockey background comes with authentic Canadian connections. His father, Trevor, was born right here in Toronto and was selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, while his mother, Martine, has roots in Montreal. Growing up in the Sunshine State,Duhaime was immersed in the game from an early age thanks to his parents’ deep ties to Canadian rinks.
Duhaime joined the Leafs on a three-year, $7.8-million contract carrying an average annual value of $2.6 million per season, locking him in through the 2028–29 campaign. According to local sports outlets, he has quickly carved out a role as an energetic, reliable presence in Toronto’s regular forward rotation.
Now, he is gearing up to balance a heavy winter hockey schedule with impending fatherhood. With the baby boy arriving mid-season, the Duhaime household is about to get a whole lot busier, and Leafs Nation officially has a brand-new junior member on the way.
