Adina Perth Hotel Begins Multi-Million Dollar Refurbishment, Completion Set for October 2026

In Brief: Adina Perth will undergo a multi-million dollar refurbishment from May to October 2026, with staged works including a redesigned lobby and updated guestrooms inspired by Western Australian design elements.

Adina Perth will commence a major refurbishment in 2026, with works scheduled from mid-May to mid-October. The multi-million dollar project will be delivered in stages, floor by floor, and the hotel will remain operational throughout the process. The refurbishment aims to introduce a contemporary Australian style and align the property with Adina’s evolving design philosophy.

The lobby transformation is scheduled for late September through October. Melbourne-based interior design firm Studio del Castillo is leading the redesign, drawing inspiration from Perth’s surroundings and the broader landscapes of Western Australia. The opal serves as a reference point for the color palette, with the lobby featuring a sculptural stone reception desk, breezeblock detailing, stone finishes, and a palette of whites, timber, and soft metallic accents. Elizabeth Quay is another local reference, with herringbone flooring echoing the paved walkways and carpets mirroring the Swan River’s winding form. Timber aesthetics on walls and floors reference surrounding wharf sheds. Heavily textured fabrics and woven elements nod to First Nations’ craft traditions, while linens, porcelain tiles, woven elements, and curved forms add textural depth. Pendant lighting is designed to create intimacy, and communal seating and low back armchairs accommodate informal meetings.

Guestrooms will feature the same West Australian design narrative, including arched green headboards referencing opal hues, subtly patterned carpets, and curved detailing across mirrors, artwork, ottomans, and furnishings. Curtains in each room are richly patterned with a subtle retro influence, complemented by understated carpets, new furniture, and layouts designed to balance comfort, functionality, and visual interest for longer stay guests.

The property offers 138 one- and two-bedroom apartments and studios, each with separate lounge, dining, and work spaces. PCEC Mounts Bay Road Pty Ltd is the developer and owner, TFE Hotels is the operator, Studio del Castillo is responsible for interior design, Dean Louis Projects is the builder and site project manager, and Toga Procure is the FF&E supplier.

Located beside the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and near office precincts along St Georges Terrace, the refurbishment reinforces the hotel’s position in the corporate and conference market. The apartment-style layouts, onsite meeting facilities, and access to major corporate headquarters are intended to appeal to business travelers and conference delegates, as well as a broad mix of guests, with a particular focus on the corporate and MICE market.

Refurbishment works are scheduled for completion by mid-October 2026.
