AIHA Announces Its Inaugural AI Hospitality Summit

1 November 20264 Mins Read

In Brief: The American Institute of Hospitality Advancement (AIHA) has announced its first AI Hospitality Summit, aiming to provide hotel owners, operators, and technology providers with education and networking opportunities focused on artificial intelligence applications in the hospitality sector.

An executive-level gathering of hotel leaders, technology innovators and academia to shape the future of Hospitality AI

Registration opens for AIHA’s flagship event, March 1–2, 2027, in San Diego, featuring a carefully curated executive audience, hands-on collaboration and a parallel academic track.

The AI Hospitality Alliance (AIHA) yesterday announced the inaugural AI Hospitality Summit, a new industry event taking place March 1–2, 2027, at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley. Registration is now open for the Alliance’s flagship gathering, designed to bring hospitality’s decision-makers together with the technology innovators and researchers helping define its next chapter.

The Summit launches with a clear ambition: to give hospitality leaders a meaningful role in shaping how AI transforms their businesses and their industry. Its value lies in bringing executive strategy, practical experimentation and academic insight into one setting where participants can explore emerging capabilities, work through shared challenges and build relationships that support implementation.

“Hospitality has an extraordinary opportunity to help shape the next generation of technology around the needs of our businesses, our teams and our guests,” said Ira Vouk, Founder and CEO of AI Hospitality Alliance. “We are creating a room where the people making technology investment and operating decisions can work directly with the people building the technology and advancing the research. The quality of those conversations, and what happens because of them, is the reason this Summit exists.”

A deliberately curated gathering of industry decision-makers

The composition of the audience is central to the Summit’s design. AIHA will carefully manage registration and ticket allocations to ensure a balanced mix across industry segments, with a particularly strong concentration of executive leadership from hotel brands, ownership groups and management companies.

Hoteliers, technology providers, entrepreneurs, investors, consultants and academics will contribute complementary perspectives. This deliberate approach is intended to create substantive conversations among people with the authority, expertise and resources to turn ideas into action.

AIHA’s advisory board will be in attendance, bringing perspectives from across hospitality, technology and education. The board includes leaders from organizations such as IHG Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Aimbridge Hospitality, Sage Hospitality, Choice Hotels International, Amazon Web Services and San Diego State University.

An exciting lineup of speakers is already taking shape, with leaders from across hospitality and technology announced. More speakers will be revealed as we finalize the program.

From strategic decisions to hands-on exploration

The Summit will address consequential questions facing hospitality: how AI changes hotel discovery and booking, how automated agents transact, how companies protect their data and guest relationships, and how operators translate AI investment into operational value.

The preliminary program combines executive discussions with collaborative AI labs, a demonstration playground, workshops, a trade show, a hackathon and a startup competition. Workshop themes include AI governance, visibility, readiness and direct booking. These formats are designed to help attendees connect strategic priorities with practical applications and learn through direct participation.

As the flagship event of an independent, vendor-neutral Alliance, the Summit extends AIHA’s ongoing work in research, education, responsible adoption and industry collaboration into an in-person forum.

Connecting academic research with industry practice

In partnership with GLOTECH, AIHA will run a parallel academic track, creating a dedicated setting for research alongside the Summit’s industry program. The collaboration is intended to strengthen the exchange between researchers studying hospitality’s transformation and executives making decisions about its future. Academics are invited to submit their research.

Registration now open; capacity limited

Total attendance is limited to 500 participants, and the Summit is expected to sell out. Prospective attendees are encouraged to register early.

An allocation of 100 Early Bird tickets is available at $395 through November 30, 2026, or until sold out, whichever comes first. Regular admission is $595 beginning December 1. A $295 Academic Pass is available for eligible faculty, researchers and students, with an allocation of 50 places subject to eligibility approval.

Sponsorship packages are available

Organizations interested in supporting the Summit and connecting with its curated industry audience are invited to inquire about sponsorship opportunities.
