Welcome along to another weekly rundown of what you’ve got to look forward to over the next seven days. We’ll cover our most anticipated new arrivals for the week as well as walking you through some of the removals we think should be on your radar.

As for removals, there are a few heavy hitters you absolutely shouldn’t miss. Film enthusiasts should carve out time for Paul Thomas Anderson’s critically acclaimed coming-of-age story, Licorice Pizza, as well as the emotionally resonant indie drama, The Mustang. If you’re in the mood for an incredibly fun, visually striking animated ride, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is a massive crowd-pleaser that is well worth catching before it departs on the 17th. Finally, if you’re a television fan with some serious binge-watching time, the gritty, fan-favorite pirate adventure Black Sails is a must-see, and you can always throw on a few episodes of The Fairly OddParents for a quick dose of childhood nostalgia before it disappears.

Next week, we’ll see all the James Bond movies depart, so definitely hurry up your binge if you’re midway through.

Now for three titles to be on your radar this week!

Beef Season 2: Trailer And New First Looks Drop Ahead Of April 2026 ReturnBeef Season 2: Trailer And New First Looks Drop Ahead Of April 2026 Return

Put On Your Radar For This Week

Beef (Season 2)

Coming to Netflix: Thursday, April 16th

After sweeping the Emmys with its wildly chaotic first season, Lee Sung Jin’s Beef is finally back—and it’s officially gone the anthology route. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong have passed the torch to an incredibly stacked new cast featuring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny.

This time around, the battleground is an upscale country club, and the “beef” is rooted in a bitter generational and class divide. When two younger employees (Melton and Spaeny) witness an explosive altercation between the club’s married managers (Isaac and Mulligan), it kicks off a vicious, manipulative power struggle to win the favor of the club’s billionaire owner (played by the legendary Youn Yuh-jung). If you loved the uncomfortably cutting and savagely funny tone of season one, this new installment is an absolute must-watch.

A Gorilla Story: Told By David Attenborough (2026)

Coming to Netflix: Friday, April 17th

Nothing quite beats the soothing, authoritative voice of Sir David Attenborough guiding us through the wonders of the natural world, and Netflix is delivering once again with this brand-new original documentary. This one serves as one of his most intimate yet, given that it takes him back to the early years of his career.

A Gorilla Story zeroes in on one of our closest, yet most vulnerable, living relatives in the animal kingdom. You can expect breathtaking, state-of-the-art cinematography and unprecedented intimate access as the film explores the complex social structures, emotional lives, and vital conservation efforts surrounding these magnificent primates. It’s the quintessential, visually stunning nature documentary to curl up with heading into the weekend.

Him (2025)

Coming to Netflix: Sunday, April 19th

Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions has a stellar track record for delivering smart, socially conscious horror, and Him, at least according to critics and the box office, didn’t quite live up to those expectations, but will it find new life on Netflix?

Featuring Marlon Wayans alongside Tyriq Withers and Julia Fox, the film follows a rising-star quarterback who suffers a severe, potentially career-ending injury just before the draft. Desperate for a lifeline, he accepts an invitation to train at the isolated, high-tech compound of his ultimate idol, a legendary eight-time championship quarterback. But as the grueling training accelerates, the mentor’s charisma sours into something far more sinister. It’s a blood-chilling look at fame, idolatry, and the terrifying sacrifices required in the pursuit of greatness.
