Baby kangaroos are back as this popular Calgary adventure park reopens this May

5 May 20263 Mins Read

Imagine this: baby kangaroos, giant slides, and a full day of outdoor activities. Sounds amazing, right? Well, you can find all that and more at Cobbs Adventure Park, which is officially reopening for the season on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

This popular Calgary attraction is known for combining animal exhibits with hands-on games, outdoor challenges, and activities that make it easy to lose track of time.

Animals, games, and everything in between

One of the biggest draws of Cobbs Adventure Park is the animal experience, which has seriously expanded over the last few years. According to Cobbs Adventure Park, the space is now home to over one hundred wallabies and kangaroos, including babies still in their pouches, along with sloths, anteaters, porcupines, fainting goats, and more!

Beyond the animals, the park is packed with activities and games designed for all ages. Visitors can try pedal carts, giant hill slides, and tractor rides, along with outdoor game zones like beanbag toss, steer roping, mazes, and interactive puzzles like the Map Maze and Fence Maze. Some are quick to solve, while others take a little longer than expected,

Plan your visit

If you’re planning a visit to the park, tickets are available online starting at $21.95, with season passes also offered for $69 per person.

Buying online is the best way to save money and secure entry in advance, especially on weekends, when the park gets busy.

Since the experience is fully outdoors, comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are recommended. Families visiting should also note that an adult must accompany children under 12.

During weekends and summer days, the park tends to get quite busy, so if you’re looking to get the full experience, it’s best to arrive early in the day.

There is a lot more going on here than you would expect, and that’s exactly why people end up staying way longer than they planned. Whether you’re heading there with friends, family, or just looking to spend a day outdoors, it’s designed to keep you busy from start to finish.

When: Opens Saturday, May 16, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1500 84th St. NE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Starting at $21.95
