As evenings get longer and cooler, outdoor lighting can make fall patio time even cozier. Soft ambient light is ideal for quiet dinners outside, small gatherings, or simply relaxing on your porch after dark. Solar lanterns are especially practical this time of year because they charge during the day and turn on automatically at dusk, which happens even earlier as the season progresses.
During Walmart Deals, the retailer is offering incredible discounts on many of its already affordable items, including a host of pretty solar lighting options. One standout that’s perfect for enhancing your fall evenings is the Qishi Hanging Solar Lantern, which is now 48% off. Normally $23, you can snag this gorgeous metal teardrop-shaped lantern with floral cutouts for just $12 thanks to a limited-time Walmart flash deal.

This decorative metal lantern features a bronze-finished stainless steel frame with a hollow floral design that projects soft sunflower-shaped patterns when illuminated. Measuring nearly 17 inches tall and approximately 5 inches wide, it has a noticeable presence but shouldn’t overwhelm your patio, porch, or deck.
The lantern’s attached solar panel charges during the day, powering the LED light inside, which turns on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. With a waterproof design, the light is built to handle outdoor conditions, and the cordless hanging design means you can place it just about anywhere. If you don’t have a suitable tree branch or railing to hang this lantern from, you could use a standalone shepherd’s hook or attach an adhesive hook under your home’s eaves.
Walmart shoppers said this “classy” lantern gives off a “gentle light” to add an enchanting glow to outdoor spaces. One reviewer said the “stunning” light “really brightens up” their dark backyard. “I love the way it looks hanging amidst my plants,” another customer said.
