BWH Hotels announced Oct. 27, 2026, that it will consolidate its global portfolio under WorldHotels, the master brand for more than 4,000 hotels across 100 countries. Individual property identities, signage and brand flags will remain unchanged.
The transformation covers 18 brands across the luxury, boutique, upscale, extended-stay and economy segments. It will connect the brands, loyalty program and digital services through one platform while retaining individual brand and property identities.
WorldHotels Rewards will consolidate Best Western Rewards and the existing WorldHotels Rewards program, which together have about 70 million members. The unified program is scheduled to launch Jan. 5, 2027, with three membership tiers.
Current benefits, including status matching, member rates and non-expiring points, will remain in place. Members will retain the value of their existing points and have additional opportunities to earn points. Further information about the program is scheduled to be announced Nov. 16, 2026.
WorldHotels is also launching a website and redesigned mobile app. The digital system includes a proprietary discovery platform developed using more than 10,000 hours of information gathered from hotel teams across the portfolio.
The platform will provide information about hotels, neighborhoods and local experiences while letting users manage bookings and loyalty activity. It is intended to connect hotel discovery, loyalty functions and direct booking through a single platform.
The portfolio’s upscale and luxury hotels will be grouped under WorldHotels Collection, which will include six categories: WorldHotels Luxury, WorldHotels Elite, WorldHotels Distinctive, WorldHotels Crafted, WorldHotels Backdrop and WorldHotels Residences.
WorldHotels Residences will combine private homeownership with luxury hotel services and brand affiliation. WorldHotels Backdrop will cover properties in natural settings. The two categories are intended to broaden opportunities for developers, owners and independent operators seeking access to global distribution.
The broader change is based on consumer research and guest feedback about how travelers discover, evaluate and book hotels. It is intended to increase discovery across the portfolio and improve property visibility.
