Casas del XVI comprises seven restored historic houses in Santo Domingo’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ciudad Colonial. The hotel’s rooms and suites are located across neighboring casas in the Colonial City.
Guests can reserve individual rooms and suites, while select casas are available for full-house reservations for family gatherings, private celebrations and other group stays. Each casa has its own architecture, interiors and history.
The properties span architectural periods from the 16th through the early 20th centuries. Casa del Diseñador incorporates art, fashion and design themes, while Casa Macorís reflects Dominican folklore. Casa de los Mapas combines Colonial and tropical influences and includes a courtyard and pool.
The hotel has added a lobby bar and fitness center following its debut under Vignette Collection. It also offers complimentary bicycles, in-room spa treatments and swimming pools in most casas.
The hotel can arrange dining and wellness experiences, along with cultural activities including museum and architectural tours, chocolate atelier visits, artisan workshops, cigar heritage experiences and wellness rituals based on Dominican traditions.
The property is within walking distance of Catedral Primada de América, Ozama Fortress, the Alcázar de Colón palace and Parque Colón. Restaurants, galleries and shops are also located in the surrounding district.
Through the Vignette Collection affiliation, eligible guests can earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points during stays.
