Choice Hotels International Names Jeff Lobb as SVP, General Counsel and Secretary

Choice Hotels International has appointed Jeff Lobb as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective March 26, 2026.

Choice Hotels International has appointed Jeff Lobb as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective March 26, 2026. In this role, Lobb will oversee the company’s global legal and public policy strategy and operations. He will serve as a member of the executive leadership team and report directly to president and chief executive officer Pat Pacious.

Lobb succeeds Simone Wu, who will retire later this spring. Lobb and Wu will work together over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

Lobb joined Choice Hotels in 2006 and most recently served as deputy general counsel, overseeing the company’s corporate, finance, and transactions teams. He played a central role in corporate governance and board administration and has provided legal support for corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, real estate ventures, and commercial agreements.

Lobb has been recognized by the legal community, including being named Outstanding In-House Counsel by the Association of Corporate Counsel – National Capital Region. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, he practiced law at several Washington, D.C.-based firms.
