Cloudbeds Brings Hotel Outlets Onto Its Unified Platform with New POS

The native mobile solution helps hotels capture revenue beyond the room, reduce manual work and manage outlet sales, service and guest charges.

Cloudbeds, the hospitality management system built for ambitious hoteliers who demand more, today announced Cloudbeds POS, a native mobile point-of-sale solution for hotel restaurants, bars, spas and shops. The launch brings food and beverage and on-property retail sales into the same unified platform hoteliers use to attract guests, grow revenue, streamline operational work, deliver better guest experiences and collect payments.

When outlet sales sit outside the hotel’s core system, teams spend time re-entering purchases, checking room charges and piecing together revenue reports. These disconnected steps also increase the risk of purchases being missed on a guest’s final bill. Cloudbeds POS connects the full outlet workflow, from setup and menus to orders, kitchen tickets, payments, folio posting and reporting. Managers configure outlets from the desktop, while staff take orders and payments through the mobile app. Room charges post directly to guest folios, helping reduce manual checks and missed charges, while finance teams see hotel and outlet revenue in the same reports.

“Hoteliers have spent years investing in experiences beyond the room, then running them on systems that can’t talk to the rest of the property,,” said Adam Harris, CEO and co-founder of Cloudbeds. “Cloudbeds POS closes that gap and extends our unified platform into that daily activity, giving operators the tools to develop their outlets while keeping sales, service and guest billing connected.”

Bringing ordering, payments and outlet management together, Cloudbeds POS gives hotel teams the ability to:

  • Take orders where guests are. Use a phone or tablet to record orders, add modifiers and apply discounts, with orders routed directly to kitchen and bar printers.
  • Give guests more ways to pay. Accept cash, Tap to Pay, Pay by Link and room charges, with the flexibility to split a bill across payment methods.
  • Bring purchases together at checkout. Post charges directly to guest folios or house accounts, allowing reception to review room-charged purchases alongside accommodation.
  • Adapt each outlet to its service. Configure menus, products, opening hours, staff permissions and automatic promotions within Cloudbeds, giving each restaurant, bar or shop its own setup.
  • Continue taking orders when connectivity drops. Keep recording orders, accepting cash and applying discounts offline, with data syncing when the connection returns.
  • See hotel and outlet revenue together. Bring outlet sales into Cloudbeds reporting for more unified visibility across accommodation and on-property spending.

Cloudbeds POS is currently available as a pilot to select customers. For more information, go to: www.cloudbeds.com/point-of-sale-system/.
