Copenhagen Has Launched A Campaign To Attract ‘Job-Unhappy’ People To Live And Work There, Canada Reviews

30 January 20262 Mins Read

When it comes to the best places to live, few cities have more impressive credentials than the stylish Danish capital. Copenhagen has not only been named the world’s happiest and the most liveable place, but the city is also so confident in the quality of life of its residents that there have been several schemes to encourage others to try it out.

The first of these was the ‘life quality insurance’, a literal guarantee from the Greater Copenhagen Region that relocating to the area would make you happier. And this year, a scheme called the Friend Recruiter Program has launched.

So, what does it entail? Well, the clue is largely in the name: you’ll need to ask a friend to sign up to the scheme with you, and you’ll both receive an email. Encourage them to peruse the Career Portal, and you’ll have officially become a Friend Recruiter.

Now, while the programme doesn’t enable you simply to move to Copenhagen, the goal is to give you a flavour of the opportunities open to workers who need a change of lifestyle. Even if you or your pal don’t end up applying for anything, follow the steps above and together you’ll be entered into a competition to win a trip to the city. At the end of the campaign, five teams of winners will be selected.

Struggling to enlighten your friend to the misery that is their relentless daily grind? The Greater Copenhagen Region has got you covered with some lines that might work on them:

And if that doesn’t work, and you’ve also tried getting them to listen to the ‘Friend Recruiter: From Burnout to Balance’ playlist, Copenhagen is pretty easy to sell on its own – just have a read of our roundups on the city’s brilliant restaurants and bars, nightlife spots and museums (including one dedicated exclusively to happiness).

So, if a particularly knackered pal of yours sprang to mind, head to the website and sign up.

Did you see that an exhibition of rarely-seen Basquiat works opens this month at this Danish art museum?

Plus: This is officially the world’s most beautiful concert venue, according to .
