IHG Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement on Oct. 12, 2026, with Kleek Development to develop the Crowne Plaza New Cairo Hotel, a joint venture between Emaar Al Delta for Contracting and Real Estate Investment and Modern Style Home Real Estate Company.
The hotel is planned for Sixth Settlement in New Cairo. It will include guest rooms and suites, four dining venues, six meeting and event spaces, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a spa and retail spaces.
The dining venues will include an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby lounge and a bar. The meeting and events facilities will include meeting rooms and a dedicated ballroom.
The property is planned within a mixed-use corridor and will serve business, commercial and residential communities in East Cairo. New Cairo has seen infrastructure investment, population growth and demand from domestic and international businesses.
Crowne Plaza New Cairo will include flexible spaces for work, meetings and downtime. The hotel will incorporate Crowne Plaza’s Plaza Workspace and WorkLife Room concepts.
Plaza Workspace includes dedicated areas for guests’ personal and professional needs. The WorkLife Room includes separate zones for work, relaxation and sleep.
IHG currently operates 10 hotels in Egypt and has 28 more in its pipeline.
