Epic Games Store’s new free PC games include an RPG favorite

The Epic Games Store is offering two free PC games this week for Epic users. For a limited time, you can grab a must-play RPG and a unique first-person shooter for free.

Citizen Sleeper

Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG inspired by tabletop adventures. It features a turn-based gameplay system with a limited number of actions determined by your dice rolls. It’s a very immersive adventure as you get to choose your path every step of the way. You play as a Sleeper (a human consciousness in an artificial body) who’s just trying to survive on the fringes of a society beset by capitalism. Outmaneuver the megacorporation that owns the Sleeper’s artificial body and wants it back. “Citizen Sleeper’s greatest strength (and also its most infuriating choice) is to untether me from concrete objectives and let me exist without a reason,” we wrote in our 2022 review.

Robobeat

Those looking for something a bit more fast-paced will want to check out Robobeat. It’s a rhythm FPS with an emphasis on fluid movement, like wall-running. Robobeat’s gameplay moves in sync with a beat, and you can even upload your own tracks to play to. Shoot in sync to hit max damage and trim any cooldown timers. You play as a bounty hunter shooting their way through procedurally generated levels as the game’s roguelike structure ensures you never know what to expect.
