Every Netflix Show and Movie That Got Its Own Custom TUDUM Intro

14 April 20265 Mins Read

TUDUM! It’s the unmistakable sound you associate with Netflix’s library of 4,000+ movies and series. Still, the intro has evolved tremendously over the years, and some Netflix Originals have even been given custom intros.

The first Netflix logo used the now-seemingly ancient Netflix DVD logo, which, from what we can see, can only be found on Lilyhammer. It then quickly evolved into a wipe stating “A Netflix Original Series,” which can still be found on the first season of House of Cards.

From there, we transitioned to a white background and Netflix’s updated logo in mid-to-late 2018. Since then, we’ve had the slow reveal of Netflix’s signature “N.” You can see the variations of the logo “sting” below:

Theatrical Netflix TUDUM

An extended version of the primary TUDUM logo began rolling out at the Venice Film Festival when Netflix premiered Roma in 2018. It’s now used for all theatrical releases, whether they are films at a festival or features shown at select theaters where Netflix movies are exhibited. The TUDUM sound is featured, but as part of a musical piece composed by Hans Zimmer. When movies move from their limited theatrical run to Netflix, they traditionally return to the standard TUDUM.

That said, in late 2023, Netflix put the extended edition on the streaming service for the first time. Although missing the Hans Zimmer music, Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire and Maestro both feature the extended logo sting, with the respective movie’s composer providing the music instead. You can also see this intro with different audio on Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

Bright

Bright Custom Intro

The 2017 fantasy action film Bright was one of the earliest examples of Netflix tweaking the intro, even if it was just the audio. As the standard logo forms, the sound of crackling magic and electricity plays over the visual, leading right into the traditional TUDUM sound. This auditory change perfectly matches the gritty, magic-infused modern world of the movie.

Stranger Things

Stranger Things Tudum Intro 2026

The first time we ever saw a custom Netflix logo sting designed to match a show was with Stranger Things. This intro applies to all seasons of the hit sci-fi series, featuring the classic red lightning from the Upside Down rumbling away as the Netflix logo beams onto your screen. In addition, you can distinctly hear a Demogorgon screaming in the background. These touches perfectly set the tone for the show, directly referencing the alternate dimension that plagues Hawkins and the terrifying apex predator introduced in the first season.

This sting was updated to mark the arrival of season 5 across all seasons, with the intro starting off in Hawkins with two of the kids’ bikes lying on the floor in front of the Hawkins lab, and then we’re pulled down into the Upside Down.

The Witcher

The Witcher also received the custom introduction treatment, boasting a blueish, gloomy background set in a forest of dead trees, complete with a Kikimora screaming and standing up on its hind legs. Geralt famously fought this insectoid creature in season 1. The intro beautifully captures the dark fantasy aesthetic of the Continent and Geralt’s perilous profession as a monster hunter.

3 Body Problem

Another Netflix Original to get this special treatment right from the start of its lifespan is 3 Body Problem, which features a static-y TUDUM effect and three glowing orbs circling the Netflix logo. The three orbs directly reference the core science-fiction premise of the series—the “three-body problem” of orbital mechanics—representing the three unpredictable suns that plague the alien San-Ti civilization.

Bridgerton (Season 3)

Bridgerton Season Custom Tudum Intro

For Bridgerton season 3, the Netflix logo sting got a glam-up, with a turquoise-patterned background and a flowery Netflix logo appearing front and center. A bumblebee flies towards the camera before the logo zooms in. Fans of the show will immediately recognize the significance of the bee: it serves as a recurring motif honoring the late patriarch, Lord Edmund Bridgerton, symbolizing the family’s history, shared grief, and enduring legacy.

Senna

Senna Tudum Intro

Senna is Netflix’s massive Brazilian series focusing on the Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna. The series features a custom logo sting in which the camera zooms in on an old Formula 1 car, and the Netflix logo appears within the glowing red rain light at the rear of the vehicle. It’s a high-octane tribute that instantly drops viewers onto the racetrack, perfectly matching the adrenaline-fueled legacy of the iconic driver.

Squid Game

Squid Game Tudum Intro

The cultural phenomenon Squid Game received a highly elaborate custom intro for its later seasons. The logo sting features the show’s iconic, maze-like teal and pink staircases with the masked guards marching ominously. As the “N” logo forms and zooms in, its lines are colored in the series’ signature pink, yellow, and teal. To top it off, the opening bars of the track “Pink Soldiers” from the show’s soundtrack play before transitioning into a lower, more sinister variation of the classic TUDUM sound.

Wednesday (Season 2)

For the second season of Wednesday, the intro gets an appropriately macabre twist starring everyone’s favorite disembodied hand, Thing. The sequence features Thing walking through a moonlit graveyard and stopping next to three gravestones perfectly arranged to form the letter “N.” In a brilliant nod to the classic Addams Family theme, Thing snaps his fingers twice—the first snap forms the “N” in purple, and the second snap shifts the logo back to the standard red and black before the episode begins.

Frankenstein

Of the big movie releases of 2025, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein got the custom intro treatment on Netflix, with the logo spooling up from the two electrical barrels.

Have we missed any Netflix Originals with a custom Netflix logo sting when the show or movie boots up? Let us know in the comments.
