Everything you need to know about Veld Music Festival in Toronto for 2026, Canada Reviews

27 July 20263 Mins Read

This weekend, Canada’s biggest electronic music festival returns to Toronto for a bass-thumping, blood-pumping good time. Music enthusiasts from all corners of Canada are preparing to descend upon Toronto  for the much-anticipated Veld Music Festival.

Returning to Downsview Park for its 13th year, Veld has earned its reputation as Toronto’s premier electric dance music extravaganza. Since its inception over a decade ago, the music festival has been synonymous with epic performances, unforgettable moments and a sense of unity between festival-goers. This year is no exception, as they pull out all the stops to make it the most exciting celebration yet, with an electrifying lineup that will be spread across three extravagant stages.

Star-studded lineup

The headliners for Veld 2026 come from all over the world, including some of the biggest names in electronic music. Leading the charge is none other than Ontario’s own Deadmau5, who actually headlined Veld’s inaugural festival in 2012. He’s returning to the stage alongside Kaskade for their first time performing as a duo at the festival, known as Kx5. Also hitting the stage is Illenium, hard techno artist Sarah Landry, Charlotte de Witte, English music group Above & Beyond, Armin van Buren and Fisher.

Wristband pickup

Veld is offering a way to skip the lines ahead of the festival and pick up your wristbands early all week long. On July 28 and July 29, head to DPRTMNT Nightclub from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. to grab your wristband. On Julu 30, Downsview Park Festival Box Office will be open from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. for pickup,  and then from 12–10 p.m. from July 31–Aug. 2 during the festival. Just make sure to bring photo ID and the credit card you used for the purchase to avoid and issues!

Themed days

This year, Veld has revealed a different theme for each day of the festival. Wear your best nostalgic fits on Friday to Y2K day — opt for low rise, butterfly clips, baby tees and track suits! On Saturday, get earthy and mystical for the Enchanted Forest theme. Finally, on Sunday prepare to go totally post-apocalyptic with a Thunderdome theme.

Three festival stages

With three stages offering diverse musical experiences, Veld 2026 caters to a wide range of tastes. The main stage will host the biggest names in electronic dance music, while the Sirkus Stage will focus on pulsating techno and house music. The Smirnoff Bass Stage will showcase electronic music subgenres that include dubstep, trap drum and bass.

Veld afterparties

The fun doesn’t stop once the artists leave the stage — all three days of the festival come with amazing afterparty plans at different Toronto venues. Each day, there will be an official afterparty held at Rebel, Noir and DPRTMNT. Make sure to buy tickets in advance; most start at $56 but can go up to $100 depending on the tier.

Veld Music Festival runs from July 31–Aug. 2 at Downsview Park.
