Friday is going to be a big day for Persona 5 fans who also play Fortnite
Fortnite has brought several characters from the gaming world into its Battle Royale as part of its current Gaming Legends-themed season. The collaboration with Persona 5 has been known for a while, but it finally has a release date. Joker and other Persona 5 characters are coming to Fortnite this Friday, Sept. 25.
Fortnite and Persona 5 collab begins this Friday
The official teaser reveals the silhouettes of each character coming to Fortnite as part of the Persona 5 collab. Gamers can expect to see Joker, Ann Takamaki, and Morgana when the item shop refreshes on Sept. 25.
The day before the reveal, leakers looked into game files and uncovered some interesting information about the Persona 5 cosmetics. Morgana will be sold as a sidekick, which isn’t surprising considering he is a small character and wouldn’t work as a skin unless put in a mech suit like Bart Simpson. As for Joker and Ann, both skins are expected to have an alternative style.
It’s believed that Ann’s style could be her outfit in Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, whereas Joker’s could be his Shujin Academy uniform. Joker’s set may include a transformation emote, which will allow players to seamlessly change his outfit mid-match. It is currently unknown how many additional in-game items, such as pickaxes, back bling, and jam tracks, are coming as part of this collaboration.
Regardless, it seems like a pretty big one, with two skins and one sidekick at the very least. We’ll find out for sure when these Persona 5 cosmetics appear in-game on Sept. 25 across all platforms Fortnite is available on.
