Hervé Fucho has been appointed general manager of Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
Cisneros Real Estate is developing Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia along the shores of Playa Esmeralda on the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic.
Designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, the property will include 95 rooms and suites, 25 private residences, and wellness, recreation and dining amenities. The resort will offer access to water sports, whale watching and sea turtle conservation activities.
Tropicalia is a 60-acre, or 24-hectare, private estate with beaches, coral reefs, mountains, forests and lagoons. The estate includes a working farm producing organic produce, honey, dairy and eggs for the property.
Guests can visit nearby Los Haitises National Park. A mountainside golf course at Tropicalia is planned to open in the future.
Fucho brings nearly three decades of experience at Four Seasons properties across three continents. He previously held executive chef roles in Punta Mita and Hong Kong, where he oversaw Michelin-starred dining.
He later moved into resort operations at a former Four Seasons property in St. Petersburg, Russia. Most recently, he served as resort manager at Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo in Mexico, where he helped establish a farm connected to local agricultural traditions.
Fucho was born in Angouleme, France. He attended hospitality school and worked at restaurants in England, Ireland and Germany before joining Four Seasons.
