Here’s what’s open and closed in Calgary this Labour Day

Labour Day weekend is almost here, which means summer is officially on its way out, and we’re getting one last chance to enjoy a little time off before September really gets going.

This year, the holiday falls on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, and with the long weekend comes a few changes around the city. Some businesses will close, while others will have shorter holiday hours.

So before you make your Labour Day plans, here’s a rundown of what’s open, what’s closed, and what will be operating on different holiday hours around Calgary.
