Hilton has announced plans to more than double its hotel portfolio in Morocco, with 15 new properties scheduled to open across the country. The company currently operates 12 hotels in Morocco and will expand its presence under brands such as Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, and Tapestry Collection by Hilton, which will launch in Morocco for the first time.
The recently opened Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé marks the brand’s debut in Morocco. Located in the Mohammed VI Tower, the country’s tallest building, the hotel features 55 guest rooms and suites, multiple dining venues, a spa, a private art collection, and 1,300 square meters of event space.
Hilton will introduce the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand in Morocco with two properties. Tapestry Collection by Hilton Casablanca is expected to open in 2028 in the Gauthier district, offering 90 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop bar, restaurant, and fitness center. Tapestry Collection by Hilton Chefchaouen, also scheduled to open in 2028, will have 100 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop restaurant, all-day dining, a lobby café, a gym, a hammam with sauna, two swimming pools, a sports field, a kids’ club, a multipurpose function room, and three meeting rooms. The Chefchaouen property is being developed with Les Résidences Hôtelières du Nord.
In Marrakech, Hilton will expand with Eden Palm Marrakech, Curio Collection by Hilton, scheduled to open in 2029 in partnership with Four AS Invest SARL. The property will have 62 guest rooms and suites, a multifunction room, a restaurant with a terrace, a rooftop terrace, a clubhouse bar and café, a fitness center, a yoga room, a spa with five treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, and a kids’ pool. This follows a recent agreement for DoubleTree by Hilton Marrakech La Palmeraie.
Hilton is also expanding into coastal destinations with new signings in Nador and Tetouan. DoubleTree by Hilton Nador Marina, set to open in 2028 with Maroc SAS HOL Nador SAS, will feature 120 guest rooms and suites, a lobby café, an all-day dining restaurant, a pool bar and grill, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, a ballroom, three meeting rooms, and a multifunction space. Hilton Garden Inn Tetouan City Center, expected to open in 2029 and developed with Les Résidences Hôtelières du Nord, will offer 97 guest rooms and suites, a lobby café, rooftop café and bar, all-day dining restaurant, pool, fitness center, spa operated by a third-party partner, three meeting rooms, and three business rooms.
These projects are part of Hilton’s broader expansion in Morocco, which includes plans to introduce LXR Hotels & Resorts to Casablanca, expand Curio Collection by Hilton in Rabat and Casablanca, and grow the Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands. Hilton expects to create more than 2,000 job opportunities for local people in Morocco as part of this expansion.
Across the Middle East and North Africa, Hilton plans to grow its portfolio to more than 300 hotels trading and in the pipeline across 15 brands, with a development pipeline expected to add over 40,000 rooms.
