CHALLENGES
Before to adopting Cendyn Catering, the team relied on manual, decentralized processes to manage catering menus across multiple properties.
Menus were created using PowerPoint templates that required annual updates. Once finalized, they were distributed inconsistently—some hotels converted them into PDFs, while others shared editable formats—resulting in a lack of standardization across the portfolio.
Updating menus and pricing was a time-intensive and error-prone process. Each change required teams to manually reload documents across websites, Cvent, virtual tours and other platforms. As a result, updates were not inconsistent, and outdated pricing sometimes remained publicly available online. Additionally, the team faced challenges in maintaining a consistent and compliant visual experience:
Menu presentation varied significantly by property
Access to high-quality imagery was inconsistent
In some cases, images were sourced without proper usage rights, introducing legal risk
SOLUTION
To address these challenges, Atrium Hospitality implemented Cendyn Catering, building on its existing partnership with Cendyn through eProposal.
A key capability that influenced the decision was the ability to maintain a single menu link that remains unchanged even after edits. This eliminates the need to reload menus across multiple platforms.
Cendyn Catering enabled the team to centrally manage menus and updates within the platform, reducing reliance on manual processes across multiple systems. Once menus were built within the platform, ongoing updates became simple to manage and maintain
“Cendyn Catering has helped us take a more structured and centralized approach to menu management, making it easier for our teams to maintain consistency across properties while we continue scaling adoption.”

SUCCESS
Shortly after implementing Cendyn Catering, the team realized measurable gains in operational efficiencies and content governance.
Reduced manual effort: Teams no longer need to update menus across multiple platforms for every change. A single update is automatically reflected wherever the menu is shared, significantly reducing repetitive work.
Improved content accuracy: By eliminating multiple versions of the same menu, the organization has reduced the risk of outdated pricing or content remaining live—ensuring greater accuracy and consistency across digital channels.
Time savings and workflow efficiency: The ability to make real-time edits without re-uploading content has streamlined workflows, allowing teams to focus on higher-value activities instead of manual updates.
